The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 179 - 179 Daily Life <4>

179 Daily Life <4>

“Who is it?” Jake asked, frowning slightly.

Knock! Knock!

“Yes?” Lotte replied. She was also following her boyfriend and helped to maintain the airflow. After all, they hadn’t built any ventilation, so she was there to make sure that the three of them would not suffocate to death.

“This is General Ryan.”

“Ah, General Ryan.” Jake quickly opened the door and saw General Ryan standing there. He smiled sheepishly. “Is there anything that I can do to help?”

“I’m looking for Little Kitty. My subordinate said that this time, Kyle didn’t bring her to eliminate the giant mutated animals.” General Ryan smiled and swept his gaze across the room. His eyes landed on Kate and his eyes gradually turned warmer.

“Yes, Uncle?” Kate stood up in confusion.

“Come with me, I need your help to bring some materials from outside the city into the construction area.”

“Okay!” Kate readily agreed.

.....

The others watched as General Ryan carried the little girl out. After that, Jake turned to look at Dylan. “When did Little Kitty and General Ryan become so close?”

Dylan passed a glance at Jake but didn’t answer. Naturally, he knew that Kate had been staying with Kyle for the past few weeks and naturally had the chance to meet with General Ryan. But he didn’t expect that the little girl would be someone that General Ryan loved too.

It seemed that there were indeed not many people would not like Kate.

But looking at her adorable appearance as a cat… that was indeed extremely lethal for most girls and some men who liked fluffy animals.

With such appearance and somewhat kind and na?ve personality, it was indeed very easy for them to like this peculiar little cat.

Though, Dylan was not entirely sure when Kate turned into a human again.

But then again, it was not his business either.

They were talking about this as Dylan settled the pipe so that they could have enough water before using his ability to pump water into the soil. In any case, they would need more water in the future, so it would be better if they had the water in the soil first.

Not long afterwards, Kyle returned. He looked around but didn’t find Kate, so he looked at his friends coldly. “Where’s Little Kitty?”

“Your father took her.” Lotte blinked her eyes innocently as if saying that it was not her fault that Kate was not here.

Marc quickly nodded his head. “Yeah, he said that he needed her to help with transporting some materials.”

“Transporting materials, huh?” Kyle snorted.

He turned around and quickly walked to the other wall. That annoying father of his seemed to love taking Kate away from him.

Jake was confused. “Why did he look so angry?”

“I guess he didn’t want Little Kitty to be so close to others.” Lotte felt amused at her own conjecture. But as she moved her own cat ears, she sighed deeply. If only it was possible, she herself also wanted to keep her pet.

Jake quickly hugged his girlfriend so that she would not remember those things.

Dylan and Marc looked at each other and then walked out of the room. They had no intention to stay and then be fed with more dog food.

<Robby, let’s go and don’t stay here to eat dog food>

“Wang! Wang!” <But I’m a dog, don’t I need to eat dog food?>

Robby looked at Marc in confusion.

In response, Marc only looked at Robby and sighed deeply. He was not ready to tell Robby the real meaning of dog food. Let this annoying dog be in the dark forever.

At the military compound, Kyle finally saw his father and Kate who was carried in his father’s arm. His eyes turned a shade darker when he saw the scene.

“Oh, Kyle, you’re done with the battle at the front?”

“Father, let me carry Little Kitty.” Kyle didn’t bother greeting his father and instead picked Kate up.

“Hey, I’m not a kid!” Kate struggled a bit.

“Be good.” Kyle looked at Kate deeply.

Seeing his gaze, Kate fell into silence. She really didn’t mean to provoke him, ah! These people just need her help, so she had been following others while Kyle was busy fighting at the wall to eliminate those giant mutated animals.

She didn’t want to go and fight those damned giant mutated animals all the time, which was the reason why she chose to follow the others and helped them in building City E.

Anyway, she will be living in City E in the future.

Being able to contribute gave her a sense of satisfaction in itself.

General Ryan looked at his son and arched his eyebrows. His son’s possessiveness just gotten worse. “I’m only borrowing her to help me transport some materials. You know better than anyone that her space is bigger than many other people.”

“I know.” Kyle turned around. “Next time, call me along.”

General Ryan’s lips twitched. He felt that his son would never let Kate be on her own in the future without him following her. Sighing deeply, he shook his head lightly.

His son’s business was not something he could meddle anyway.

Tep! Tep!

As they returned to the research institute, Kyle brought her to his room and Kate could see that Kyle seemed to be troubled. She looked at him, opened her mouth and closed it again.

She was not sure what to say to him.

“Uncle just need my help a bit,” Kate explained.

“I know.” Kyle was not stupid. He naturally knew that his father needed to transport a large amount of materials which would take a long time if switched to other space awakened. But he had to say that he didn’t like it when he saw that Kate was not around him.

He just wanted her to stay with him forever.

“I’m not going anywhere.” Kate looked at Kyle carefully. “If you really need to find me, you can just look around the area.”
