"Say... if the Divinesun King was looking for something in the Evergreen Territory, do you all think it's still hidden somewhere here?" Astarte queried with a look of wonder.

She couldn't help but feel tempted to uncover the secret.

After all, whatever the Divinesun King was looking for, it was something valuable enough for him to risk coming alone in secret-secret to the point that no one knew about it.

They could only speculate about it, at best.

"As such, I think it's safe to say that whatever secret is hidden, it was something that even the Lord of the Evergreen Territory didn't know."

"If we take that into account, there's a possibility that whatever hidden secret here doesn't exist at all. Perhaps the Divinesun King and Skymagia King both acted on a mere rumor or suspicion."

"However, that also makes whatever the hidden secret is equally more terrifying-to the point that even I don't want to find out what it is," Mephistopheles stated.

He also had his fair share of greed for valuable treasures, but he treasured his life more. Nevertheless, Astarte hoped Mephistopheles could elaborate further on the subject.

"Why not, Mephistopheles?" Astarte asked before saying, "It's quite clear that the secret has to be something extraordinarily valuable or powerful. If we can obtain it for ourselves, we might be able to raise our position immensely."

"Who would want to give up such a chance?" Astarte added thoughtlessly, blinded by greed. While Mephistopheles understood Astarte's point, he couldn't share the same sentiments. "When treasures become far too valuable, it also becomes a disaster to have rather than a blessing, Astarte," Mephistopheles coolly stated.

"Just think about it. We were able to speculate so much after coming together and focusing on this subject. If we had not lived so long and accumulated so much knowledge, we might not have thought about this."

"However, it's also because we are denizens of Gehenna that we were able to think this far. The Skymagia King might have suppressed our realm for so long because he feared we would find out about this."

But then, that raises the question - If the Skymagia King feared us finding out something about the secret hidden in the Evergreen Territory, why didn't he just wipe out the entire Gehenna Realm? Why stop with just the Evergreen Territory?" Mephistopheles mentioned. "Why?" Astarte asked.

"Because of insufficient justifications. Drowning the Evergreen Territory in a sea of the [Eternal Purpleflame], while excessive, was already the limit of what the Skymagia King could do without drawing suspicions," Mephistopheles stated.

"If the Skymagia King had also wiped out the rest of Gehenna, no one would still think he was unleashing his wrath to avenge his beloved daughter. Instead, people will start to suspect he is trying to hide something."

"Whatever the Skymagia King knew about Evergreen Territory, he went to extreme lengths with this much consideration to keep it hidden. Do you understand what that means?"

"It means whatever potential secret buried in the Evergreen Territory is too much for even the Skymagia Royal Family to handle," Mephistopheles stated.

Only a secret that could trigger a bloodbath across countless star kingdoms once news of it spread would make the Skymagia King fear uncovering it so much.

"I see..." Thanatos suddenly broke his silence with a look of enlightenment. "So it was about Goddess Thyia's inheritance. I've only heard a bit about the rumors, but that is, indeed, something we should never try to find out, even if there is only a slight possibility of it existing here."

The Eternal Darkheaven Sector had countless thousands of galaxies, each containing up to several hundred billion or even a hundred trillion star realms.

Within such a vast space, where would people even know to look?

"The Eternal Darkheaven Sector is so vast. How could anyone possibly find Goddess Thyia's inheritance based on such a vague rumor?" Astarte frowned.

"It's definitely not easy," Thanatos nodded before saying, "However, with so many beings scouring through every high-value life planet in search of it, Goddess Thyia's inheritance will surely be found one day."
