Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 943

Chapter 943: A Coward?

A few moments earlier,

“Why are you such a coward?” Prince Fritzen mocked the young girl who kept trying to take her hand away from his grasp.

Yvonne raised her brow and scoffed at him for misunderstanding her actions but soon smirked when a thought came to her mind.

‘You want to hold hands? Sure~’ She rolled her eyes before putting an end to her efforts of pulling her hand away from him.

___

Earlier, when she was having tea with this Pig Prince, she had sensed the auras of her two elder brothers and another few heading towards the mansion.

Therefore, she had asked Prince Fritzen to leave so as to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and conflict.

.....

As even she was not yet aware of the true purpose behind his regular visits to the St. Claire mansion just to have tea with her, how was she supposed to explain his presence to her overly territorial brothers?

Thus she had advised him to leave through the back entrance of the estate to avoid crossing paths with Howard and Taylor who were on their way to the main entrance right now.

However, the Prince failed to decipher the true meaning behind her suggestion and simply assumed that she was worried about what would take place if the others saw him here.

She surely was worried but it wasn’t for his sake as he believed so but rather for the headache she would have because of the misunderstandings created thanks to his appearance.

If her brothers saw Prince Fritzen with her then she would be subjected to a plethora of questions regarding his visits which she did not wish to face.

She was also hoping to use their return as an excuse to avoid any further opportunities for the Prince to stop by.

However, his failure to grasp what was truly on her mind made things now worse for her.

It was clear that Prince Fritzen had assumed that she was worried for his sake and thus had taken a step forward to help her out of the mess he had created through his arrival here today.

This was indeed what the young Prince had deduced after realizing that the return of her brothers had made Yvonne panic.

If he met the boys and let them know that he was already acquainted with the young girl, wouldn’t this clear any unnecessary misunderstandings that might arise?

He had seen Young Masters Taylor and Howard being overly protective of their sister so all he had to do was assure them that he wasn’t someone who would harm her.

In this way, not only would he gain a better impression in their sights but also make it easier for him to remain in touch with her.

He did not want his constant visits to the St. Claire mansion to be transformed into a reason for anyone to find fault with her.

He was acting of his own accord and did not wish to drag her down due to his actions.

This was why he had pulled her along to the entrance of the mansion in an attempt to make everything clear to the boys whom she seemed to cherish a lot while also revealing that he was now going to be a frequent visitor to this estate.

___

Along the way, the little girl kept trying to take her hand away which had led him to sneer at her.

He was simply trying to instigate her into acting according to his plans but who would have thought that it would work almost instantly?

Though the little smirk she had flashed in his direction brought up a sudden sense of unease, he shook it away and marched forward.

Upon reaching the entrance of the mansion, a loud cry calling out her name echoed even before they had stepped over the threshold.

This startled the Prince who shifted his attention to the boys standing before the carriage that had just arrived at the St. Claire mansion.

Earlier when he was having tea with the young girl, he had sensed only two auras within the vehicle moving towards the mansion but now realized that he was wrong,

Not two but four boys were now standing opposite him with a variety of strange expressions evident on their faces.

He had expected to find two of them, Young Masters Howard and Taylor, as he had sensed their auras but the other two were not who he was hoping to meet right now.

Therefore, his body stiffened when he found the four of them staring at him unblinkingly.

The sweat forming on his forehead hastened to slide down his face when he realized that their entire focus was now on the hand he had been holding on to.

All of the plans he had made to look good and harmless earlier were now thrown out of the window and Prince Fritzen panicked about what he needed to do right now.

Finally discovering what his next step should be, he hurried to yank away the hand that was being used to escort the young miss of his household.

To his mortification, he seemed to have miscalculated his steps as the hand which he was trying to pull away did not budge.

‘Didn’t you call me a coward earlier?’ A sweet voice echoed in the Prince’s head as he fixed his bright blue eyes on the one standing next to him.

Yvonne flashed him a familiar smirk before ignoring him, turning her attention to her brothers whom she had not seen for months now.

However, she did not reduce the force she was using to keep Prince Fritzen’s hand confined in place.

He had talked big only a few seconds ago and right away coming in contact with the scary faces of her brothers, he was trying to renege.

But how could Yvonne let him get away so easily after the headaches she had been experiencing each time he visited her?

Therefore, as a tiny act of revenge, the little girl continued to hold onto the Prince’s hand as she stepped out of the mansion and toward her brothers as well as the older boys who had accompanied them today.

When the two of them reached the four boys, Yvonne smiled at her brothers and even at the others with them.

She was just about to greet them when she noticed something strange.

‘Hmm?’ She tilted her head upon realizing that even now their eyes were still fixed on the prince escorting her.

‘I felt the same way.’ She chuckled inwardly, reminiscing the first time Prince Fritzen had stopped by unannounced.

She was stunned speechless and did not know how to react the first few minutes after coming face-to-face with the heir of this Kingdom.

Therefore, she surely could sympathize with the boys who, just like her, were bewildered upon finding this Prince here and thus did not know how to react.

“The Prince came over to have tea.” She spoke up, truthfully explaining the purpose of his appearance here, at least the one she was aware of.

The moment she uttered those words, a snort was heard, dragging everyone’s attention towards the one who had dared to let out this disrespectful sound in the presence of a Prince right now.

As though he realized the mistake he had just made, this person cleared their throat before speaking up once again.

“Greetings, Young Prince Fritzen.” A greeting was uttered in a cold voice as this person bowed his head to the one standing before him.

His words made the others come back to their senses as they too hurried to greet the Royal heir of their Kingdom.

‘He is still a Prince so calm down.’ Taylor uttered through the mental link he had just initiated, hoping to avoid any unnecessary situations from occurring right now.

‘I know.’ A prompt reply was heard, this time in Taylor’s mind who heaved a soft sigh of relief upon hearing this affirmative response.

The two best friends then shared a glance before averting their gaze to their little sister and the one who stood next to her.

‘But I still want to rip that hand out.’

In just a second after the initial assurance, the same voice reached Taylor’s mind once again but those violent words uttered in a pleasant tone made him choke on thin air, wondering if everything would turn out to be alright today.
