“Training is for becoming stronger.”
Walking on the street, Xu Ran drew several purple, jelly-bean-like morsels from a bag and fed them to Ziyun while explaining.
“There are two common methods of training: the first is repeatedly practicing alone to master a skill, and the second is gaining combat experience by constantly fighting other Transcendent Beings.”
Seeing Ziyun’s eyes gleam with interest at the latter half of the sentence Xu Ran slipped it two more purple jelly beans and gently knocked on its head “Don’t get ahead of yourself. We should be focusing on skill training right now.” “Meow-” (Alright then-)
Ziyun rubbed its head against Xu Ran’s hand, obediently ready for the lesson. “Skill training also has its own nuances.” Xu Ran paused. “You’ve currently mastered five skills: Electric Spark, Electric Arc, Bite, Claw Edge and Self-healing.”
“All five of these skills are at Stardust Level, the next level is Starlight Level If you can elevate your skills to that level, your power will greatly increase.” “But biting off more than you can chew isn’t advisable. Training all five skills simultaneously will scatter your focus and reduce efficiency, so there’s a priority in training these skills.”
“Electric Spark, Electric Arc, and Self-healing are the priorities, the other two can wait.” Xu Ran paused. “Two stars skills are more potent than One Star, while self-healing will be massively helpful to you.”
“Meow-” (Got it!)
Ziyun responded, then rubbed against Xu Ran’s hovering hand, indicating him to continue feeding it.
“Last one, we’re here.” Xu Ran grabbed a handful of jelly beans and placed them on his palm. Once Ziyun finished eating, he led it into the building in front of them.
The Long River Pet Beast Training Hall.
It was one of the top training halls in Qingzhou City, with over a hundred beast training environments available. After much research, Xu Ran had chosen this particular place.
Upon entering the spacious hall of the training center, Xu Ran saw numerous Beast Masters leading their pet beasts in and out of separate training rooms. Their pet beasts ranged from Transcendent Stage to Elite Stage. Xu Ran even glimpsed a fleeting figure of a pet beast far stronger than those at the Elite Stage.
“Hello, I need an entry-level custom training room.” Without vacillating, Xu Ran walked up to the counter. “Three hours.”
“Alright.” The receptionist glanced at Ziyun cradled in Xu Ran’s arms, then quickly input the relevant information. “The entry-level custom training room costs three hundred per hour, so you need to pay nine hundred.”
Beep 1 Xu Ran paid using the scan code.
“That’s nine hundred from you, this is the key card for training room 1023. The clock starts running as soon as you open the door for the first time, and you’ll be reminded when your time is up.” The receptionist swiftly rose to her feet, handing over the key card with a smile.
“Thank you.”
Having received the key card, Xu Ran quickly found the corresponding training
The entry-level training room was ten meters in length, width, and height, and all its walls were flashing with a white light.
Xu Ran, however, knew this light was not an ordinary one – it was a melding
of modern technology and Transcendent Power.
There was a control panel in a corner of the training room, from which Beast Masters could customize the room to achieve optimal training results.
Xu Ran had two configurations in mind – one that emitted an attack energy that needed to be evaded, and another with randomly appearing, moving energy targets.
This simple combination of two features could fully accommodate training for Ziyun’s three skills.
After these settings, Xu Ran put Ziyun on the ground, pointed at the middle of the field, and instructed, “Ziyun, you stand over there. Use Electric Arc to dodge red attacks coming from all directions.”
“These attacks are real. If you don’t evade them, you’ll get hurt, and you’ll need to use the Self-healing power to recover.”
“Additionally, green spheres of light will randomly appear in the field. They move at different speeds and disappear after five seconds. You need to hit them with Electric Spark before they disappear.”
“Do you understand?”
“Meow-” (I do!)
Ziyun nodded seriously, its face taking on a somewhat solemn expression. It understood Xu Ran’s instructions. Precisely because it understood that it was acutely aware of how difficult the upcoming training would be.
Avoiding attacks from all corners while targeting a moving object, and recovering itself if it got hurt.
“If you understand, then drink this.” Xu Ran took out an Energy Abundant Potion and fed it to Ziyun.
Now let’s see just how powerful these system-produced items could be.
Ziyun didn’t hesitate, its forepaws grasping the potion and hastily drinking it down. Right after, with a light leap, it moved into position in the center of the field.
“Begin!”
Seeing Ziyun were ready, Xu Ran pushed the start button on the control panel. His position was in the attack blind spot. He won’t be affected and could adjust the difficulty or terminate the training at any time.
Two beams of red light shot toward Ziyun from two directions as Xu Ran pressed the start button. According to Xu Ran’s configuration, these lights moved at a speed of twenty meters per second.
Ziyun’s pupils contracted slightly as thunderbolts emitted from its arched spine. Like shadows in empty space, Ziyun rapidly dodged within a small range, averting both beams of red light.
The two red beams failed to hit Ziyun, and when they collided with the walls again, they quietly melded into them. Then, two more red lights were shot from different locations, aiming for Ziyun.
In a series of shifty moves, Ziyun easily dodged the next wave of red beams It seemed risky, but this was still within its capacity.
In the next moment, it looked up as if it sensed something.
It was a green energy sphere the size of a soccer ball. Out of nowhere, it appeared in mid-air and was slowly moving in a certain direction.
A brimming, vibrant, lightning-filled purple electric arc was brewing in
Ziyun’s mouth and then it forcefully spewed it out.
“Zzzhh??? ”
Accompanied by the distinct crackling of electric arcs piercing through the air the green sphere was hit by the Electric Spark and vanished into thin air.
Almost immediately, Ziyun’s body trembled and it let out a low cry.
Just as Ziyun was distracted by the attack on the energy target, two red beams simultaneously struck it.
Within an instant, the two spots where the red beams hit Ziyun showed signs of burning. The charred fur revealed some cut marks on the skin underneath.
Xu Ran, standing by the control panel, was able to resist the urge to stop the training and boldly shouted, “Use Self-healing!”
Ziyun’s pupils contracted, dodging the two shots of red light that were once again aimed at it like a bolt of lightning. Then, by instinct, it concentrated its power to circulate through its body.
The very next moment, a faint white light loomed over its two wounds, which began to heal visibly at a speed perceptible to the naked eye.
The intensive three-hour training session had officially commenced!
