100 [Bonus Chapter]Chapter 52
Today, he spent several hours shopping with Luca. Sometimes they would shop for her own clothes and other's she would suggest things that would suit him. He ended up spending 12Gold today. His money never seemed to end as Emura would send a portion of their profits each month despite his plea to use it for the people.
Luca held his hand as they walked along a wooden footbridge over a small artificial lake. Her arm swung a little with each step as she hummed a gentle song. The setting sun illuminated her soft golden fur as Lucifer looked towards her with a faint smile. He enjoyed today. This time, he didn't act like the normal former devil.
He was more like Lucian Silva.
Lucifer acted like he was back in his last world. He once dated a girl, but she never showed up, despite his detailed date plan. Today, he used that plan with slight alterations to this lioness. She was not loud or annoying during the date, her normal attitude seemed quite reserved and meek. He found she was just desperate to be noticed after she became smitten with him.
[Lanza's Random Fact 2: Most Feline races will choose their mate by specific criteria. Some choose a man by their looks for the best genes. The golden lion tribe will only choose a strong mate. But this doesn't mean any powerful male will do. They need to be in the same generation or younger and have a strength that appeals to the lioness themselves. Once they identify this mate, the women will become more vibrant and vocal towards their chosen lover.]
Luca gave a twirl as her hand separated from his. She knew how popular he was and just what calibre woman would desire a man like him, beautiful, rich, noble and powerful. Her body took a few steps back as she tasted the pleasure of being his lover for a day.
She felt this date was nostalgic, as if she had experienced it once before. But those thoughts seemed to fade the moment they passed through her mind. Left with only delight and the feeling of butterflies in her stomach.
Her back to the red sun as she cut her losses before she lost even this fleeting dream. She gave him a brief bow before she spoke.
"Thank you so much for giving me such a wonderful memory! Hehe, I never expected to get a date with the famous Blood Prince! My friends will surely be jealous haha!"
"I will let you go now. It must irritate you to be dragged along by a clingy lioness who never shuts up!"
Lucifer could she her chest heave and eyes become wet. He wondered why such a cute girl acted like a boy who was just told his date was dull before the girl dumps him. His mind filled with memories of his own failures as Lucian Silva cause a bitter grin to fill his face.
Once again, Luca saw vague memories where a girl said words she never meant because of her shy nature. She stated the date was boring as her inner voice screamed in happiness and desire to date him more. Her own figure overlapped with the girl as she chased after the boy, who seemed to cry after her rejection, only to be struck by a car moments later.
Her last images were the boy who became ever distant as if a cruel trick of god. Luca closed her eyes and tried to ignore this strange memory as it faded into oblivion. She did not understand what a car was, but why did she know that was its name?
"I won't forget this moment ever! It will remain the most wonderful memo…..Mmmph!?"
Luca's eyes widened as he sealed her words with his soft, lustrous lips. Her brain suffered a meltdown as she felt two large hands grasp around her back. Heat… An intense heat was all she felt as it encompassed her entire body. His gentle kiss was intoxicating as her eyes slowly closed and sucked on his lips and used all her focus to never forget this feeling.
He grabbed onto her and stroked her back with a gentle up and down motion. His actions were devoid of lust, like usual. He just couldn't stand to see this girl cry. Her actions and words reminded him of his immature self without memories. Yet in reality, when he spent the time to convince himself the girl could never like him, he never noticed she liked him before he even knew her name.
Lucifer pulled away from her after his kiss, wrapped them in a soft, affectionate moment. His eyes gazed up at her amber eyes that glistened with faint tears. He stroked her lower eyelid with a single movement of his thumb to remove them.
"I don't know what you seek from me. You will never be my only woman."
"Today was a wonderful day for me, despite what you might think. I enjoyed how you tried on different clothes for hours and yet still chose the first one you picked up after saying it wasn't the best."
"Ah!?" (Luca)
"I liked how cute you are when eating meat. Your right arm lay on the table as if to stop someone snatching it."
"No! Forget about that! How embarrassing!" (Luca)
"As a woman and person, you are very adorable, and I cannot deny that I want you."
"But I cannot promise you the world, nor can I give you my everything all the time…"
"…" (Luca)
He took a step back as his right hand stroked her face before slipping away. Lucifer held out his left hand towards Luca as his face no longer showed a faint smile but his wild, broad smile.
"I can only promise to give you my everything when you are beside me."
"Should you wish for the world, I will conquer it."
"If you can accept me for who I am, then I will do everything to meet your expectations and desires!"
"But know if you take my hand, you are mine forever."
"The moment you try to leave or escape. I will destroy everything you hold dear, then kill you with my own hands."
Luca stopped her hand that almost moved towards him in an instant. Her mind was now trapped between her instinct as a lioness and her feelings as a person. She wanted to have such a wonderful husband and most males would take multiple wives.
She was happy he was honest and said these things up front. Her mother told her some men could lie or might only pretend to have affection, then disappear once children were born. Luca observed him. She thought of a future where she refused him now.
Maybe one day she would find another male. Compared to this god-like man, he would seem average and lacking. Her heart became bitter, lonely and a sense of regret filled her body each time the radio mentioned the great Vampire Emperor. She felt this was not the path she should take.
Then another future flashed before her eyes. One filled with excitement, a constant change each day. Many sisters around her as they vied to win their beloveds affection. No matter how many women he took in, he would bend even space and time to ensure they were all satisfied.
Her eyes once again seemed a little wet as she snapped her eyes towards him with a determined look.
"Will you love me forever?" (Luca)
"I will!"
"Can you strengthen me? Help me protect my mother?" (Luca)
"I can!"
"Is this out of pity? Or am I worth that much?" (Luca)
"From the moment I saw you, I wanted you to be mine."
"Ah!?" (Luca)
"Will you marry me one day?" (Luca)
"I will marry all the women I love!"
Luca's face filled with tears however, he would not move until she took his hand. They did not understand each other fully. So he wished to show her what kind of person he was. He never made such a spontaneous promise to a woman before. But felt if he didn't catch her today, he might lose the chance forever.
"I see…" (Luca)
She found it amusing that the words he spoke and promises were the same as her strange memories. Maybe a goddess was doing her best to encourage her. Luca didn't mind. She would not make the mistake of that black-haired eastern looking human.
'Mother, today your little Luca chose her future husband. Wish me luck!'
Her body moved forward step by step as she reached towards his hand with a shuddering arm. He was like a venus fly trap the moment her skin touched his. He grabbed her and pulled her into his embrace in a princess carry. This girl not only signified a cute lion girl waifu.
She was the spitting image of the girl he dated for the first time as the human Lucian Silva.
Once he saw her up close, he realised this must have been the reason for his attraction to her. The fluffy fur was a bonus. He just hoped that this was a mere coincidence and nobody was playing with their fates.
'Otherwise I will have to kill them.'
