"Here are the magic guns your ordered." – said Phantasia while putting down a cannon rifle type mana guns.

"Those are improved version of the cannon type mana guns that you guys have been using. One strong hit type of thing and like promised, you get a discount."

"Oh, nice." – said Zeus as he inspected one of the guns.

"…. Anything new?" – asked Phantasia.

"…. Nope." – replied Zeus.

"There was straight up nothing and we couldn't find anything…. Nothing, just nothing."

"Honestly, I'm more surprised that these people would just… Disappear!"

"Like, we even tried inspecting the guards and any weird actives among them, but nothing."

"Honestly, even though we didn't find anything on the guards, the entire situation straight up make them look SUS like hell!"

"I mean, a day haven't passed, but these guys managed to escape moments later after getting thrown to the jail? And not even single lead is left behind."

"Honestly, it wouldn't be surprising if the guards really worked with them at this point."

"…. Well, the situation itself seems stupid and somewhat forced." – said Phantasia while taking the money from Zeus.

"Its straight up doesn't make even any sense for me to get attacked and the entire situations looks like some sort of forced quest that you don't have an option to refuse to, even though I didn't received any quest regarding the whole situation."

"Honestly, I would have maybe dismissed it as random bandit attack, since they do happened."

"But the whole situation is way too stupid and now there is some weird question now being mixed int."

"There was nothing like another happening on my shop either after the whole incident, so I'm even more confused and nobody even attacked me in the city like before."

"Okay. Fuck it." – said Phantasia as Zeus stared confused.

"I will close up my shop for the moment and tell all your members to stop looking around."

"And don't even dare to tail me."

"Eh?" – Zeus.

"Just… Leave me alone for moment. I want to try something and I cannot have anybody near me. Got it?"

[Sometime later in the hunting grounds.]

(This is stupid plan.) – though Phantasia while walking through the hunting grounds while holding the rifle like gun.

(I don't know who the hell attacked me or anything like that, but I may as well as try this stupid method.)

(Just go as far as possible from the settlements. Possibly the best into the dark and desolated area where there are barely if not just no people around.)

(Honestly, I still don't fuking understand the situation, but I want to be over with that random bullshit already.)

And as planned, Phantasia made his way into the deeper hunting grounds, while hunting or avoiding the monsters as well as people on his way.

After sometime had passed, the Phantasia had made his way into quiet deep part of the hunting grounds where there was not even a single player in sight or anything like that.

Phantasia leaned against the tree.

"Okay. Come out you fucker!" – shouted Phantasia.

"Or are you keep going to hide like a little bitch?!"

(Honestly, I don't even know if somebody is tailing me or not, so I'm just-)

Suddenly, in front of the Phantasia, the shadows of the tress began acting weirdly, combing and gaining mass, before a humanoid figure emerged from the shadows.

(HOLY SHIT! SOMEBODY WAS REALLY TAILING ME WITHOUT REALIZING!)

The figure that emerged from the shadows had an appearance of a humanoid being that was wearing a black suit with a black mask with sad face that was covering the man entire head.

"Greetings their mister Phantasia. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shadow Mask." – said the man the black suit and mask.

(Shadow mask, eh? Cringy name as fuck.)

(Still…. Shadows? That is new…. Wait.)

(By any chance he is the guy who rescued the bandits? He straight up teleported them via shadow?!)

(That…...Huh. That would explain that bullshit escape without leaving any trace thing.)

"…. So…... Question. Who the hell are you and why the fuck you want from me?" – asked Phantasia.

"Hm… That is a good question." – said the masked figure with the distrusted voice.

"How about you go with me for questing?"

"Nah."

"I just want to find out why the hell you people are targeting me for and stuff." – said Phantasia while holding his rifle in his hands.

"So, how about it? Will you at least tell me, who the fuck are you people and what kind of problem you have with me?"

"Hm…. I don't know." – said the masked figure.

"How about you tell me what had happened to the [Unliving Heart], then we can talk. Mister Wood Mask."

"Yea. He is the necromancer I killed."

"Or to be more specific, he killed himself when I sabotaged the [Unliving Heart], causing it- "

"Stop bullshiting." – said the masked figure.

"I know that the [Unliving Heart] was finished and its currently inside of you."

"And to make things more interesting, your body is flesh and blood, but also combinations of machines, right?" – said the masked figure.

"I admit that I have the [Unliving Heart] inside me, but don't you fuking compare me to that trash bastard." – said Phantasia suddenly.

"True. We may have similar bodies, but that bastard and I are completely different."

"Heck. He even killed me and fuking killed the Evilin, the dwarf I had rescued from the necromancer, when the dwarf was going to appoint me as his successor and while I was in the middle of doing his task, he was fuking killed by the Doctor."

"So watch your tongue there, buddy!"

"Nice acting and all, but don't worry. Nobody is near us. Not a single living soul is anywhere near us."

"So you can be honest with me." – said the masked figure.

"And I'm saying fuck you." – replied Phantasia.

"I ain't that fuking Doctor guy."

"But I wonder about one thing through…. Did that necromancer worked for you or something?"

(Honestly, I tried manipulating the necromancer into giving informations regarding any possible organization that he had ties with, but I couldn't get anything out from him in the end.)

(So I though maybe he was working solo…. BUT BY THE LOOK OF THINGS, HE WASN'T!)

(I mean! That guy knows about necromancer as well as the [Unliving Heart], so he has to 100% work with the necromancer.)

(Wait…. So, by any chance, this wasn't some random chaos and shit, but the consequences of my own actions?)

(But seriously, how the hell does he knows the fact that my body is both partially mechanical as well as the fact that the [Unliving Heart] is inside of my body?! Does he have some sort of x-ray vision or something?)

(Is he hiding in them? Or is it like some sort of teleport?)

(What if he gets away after seeing me transform? Confirming that I'm really Doctor?)

(I fuking through at first, I'm dealing with some stupid and greedy corrupted noble or merchant, but I'm now dealing with some sort of guy that may suspect me of being the Doctor and even posses some informations that shouldn't be possible to obtain, unless he knew the necromancer in question personally or something.)

(Not only that, but what if that guy isn't working alone? He was able to sneak up on me without even realizing that!)
