The next day, Xia Yu went out early in the morning with the caretaker and headed to the court for another session.

The moment she showed up, Mother Xia stood up, wanting to scold her. However, when she saw the judge, Mother Xia could only choose to behave herself.

Xia Yu continued to answer every question that the prosecutor and lawyer had for her. This time, Xia Yu did not wait for a long time to leave the court.

By the time Mother Xia wanted to catch up with her, Xia Yu had long left the area.

Xia Yu leaned on her seat and looked out the window. The caretaker unscrewed the bottled water and handed it over to Xia Yu.

After taking a few sips of drink, Xia Yu looked at the caretaker and asked about their flight to Capital City tomorrow.

The caretaker hesitated before she answered, "Miss Xia, there has been a change of plan. Previously, Mister Huo said that he would return with you to Capital City by car. He said it would be better if you avoided the crowd after that video yesterday has spread. I thought you have agreed. Do you want me to change the plan?"

Xia Yu thought of Huo Yun Chen's arrangement and her lips curled into a smile. "No. It's fine. Let's just proceed with the arrangement."

The caretaker nodded.

Xia Yu took out her phone and saw the text message from Lin You.

She thought about her conversation with Lin You last night and lowered her head shyly.

Half an hour later, Xia Yu finally arrived at the hotel and the caretaker sent her back to the suite. The room was empty as she entered.

Just like Lin You had told her, Huo Yun Chen had to leave to discuss some work matter with Brother Xiang.

Xia Yu wheeled the wheelchair into the room and saw the stuff that Lin You had brought for her. She picked up the bag and began to make her preparation. Once everything was ready, Xia Yu went back into her room to change her cloth.

Her movement halted as she saw the dress on the bed. As she went closer, Xia Yu saw the note that Lin You had written for her.

Her lips curled into a helpless smile. Xia Yu picked up the dress and after a brief hesitation, she decided to put it on.

Because she did not have anyone to help her, Xia Yu could only move slowly and carefully. Almost half an hour later, Xia Yu looked at her reflection in the mirror and halted.

It seemed that it has been quite a while since she had dressed up. The last time she had put on her makeup, it was to attend Song Xing Xing's wedding.

As she looked at her reflection, Xia Yu began to think of the women celebrities who had appeared beside Huo Yun Chen before. Her thoughts went wild for a few seconds. Xia Yu quickly shook her head to dispel that thought away.

Her phone dinged, signaling that there was a new message.

Seeing that it was from Lin You, Xia Yu quickly adjusted her outfit and wheeled herself out. She waited at the dining table and took a few deep breaths to calm down.

Five minutes later, the door was pushed open.

Xia Yu watched as Huo Yun Chen entered the room with an anxious feeling. Her heart was beating fast and it won't calm down no matter what she do.

This was the first time that she had done such a thing and she did not know whether she had done everything right.

Their gazes met and Xia Yu flashed a shaky smile.

"Hi." It was Huo Yun Chen who broke the silence first. He stared at the person who was sitting at the dining table with a stunned expression.

Seeing that Xia Yu had dressed up prettily made him smile. Huo Yun Chen found that he was unable to look away.

He walked closer to her and glanced at the food on the table. Then, he looked up again with a surprised look on his face. "What's all this?"

"Have you had your lunch yet?"

The smile on his face stretched up wide when he heard her question. Thinking that Xia Yu had waited to have lunch with him made him feel happy. "Not yet."

"I don't know what you like and could only ask Lin You to help me with this," Xia Yu said. "Let's eat together, alright?"

Huo Yun Chen chuckled. He took off his coat and sat beside her.

The hotel only had a small round table enough to fit two or three people for a small meal. When Huo Yun Chen sat down, his knees were touching hers under the table.

Huo Yun Chen leaned over, shortening the distance between them. "What's the occasion?"

"I wanted to thank you for your help," Xia Yu said.

Huo Yun Chen laughed. "You don't have to thank me for anything." He sat up straight and picked up the chopstick on the table. "But, since you have worked hard to prepare all these, of course, I will have to eat everything."

Xia Yu nodded. The two of them began to eat their meal and Huo Yun Chen would ask her about the court session. Hearing that she did not suffer any grievance made him feel more at ease.

Earlier, he wanted to accompany Xia Yu to the court but Brother Xiang suddenly called him to discuss an important work. He had no choice but to leave. Brother Xiang has been tolerant enough to let him come to A City to accompany Xia Yu.

Huo Yun Chen also knew that his manager was worried that someone would find out his disguise if he showed up at the court again.

Once they had finished their meal, Huo Yun Chen stood up, wanting to clear the table. However, before he could make a move, Xia Yu had gripped his wrist, stopping him from leaving.

Huo Yun Chen shot her a puzzled look. "What's the matter?"

"I," Xia Yu hesitated. "Sit down first. I have something to tell you."

His expression turned serious. Huo Yun Chen sat back and stared at Xia Yu with worry. "What's wrong? Is your head hurting again?"

"I'm fine." Xia Yu took a deep breath and spoke. "According to the lawyer, I won't have to appear at the court again after this. They are only waiting for the judge to give his verdict."

Huo Yun Chen nodded. "It's good that you don't have to show up again." Each time that Xia Yu went to the court, he would always worry that Xia Yu would have to listen to Mother Xia's harsh words.

"A while ago, I have promised you that I will give you my answer after the court case is over."

His body grew rigid as he finally understood her intention. He wanted to say something but Xia Yu stopped him with her words.

"Huo Yun Chen, I have already made up my mind."

His heartbeat accelerated when he heard her words.

Although he had always been waiting for her answer, Huo Yun Chen found that suddenly, he did not want Xia Yu to give her answer.

If she rejected him, he wouldn't know what he should do.

"Have you thought about it properly?" Huo Yun Chen asked. His voice shook.

"En." Xia Yu nodded. She took a deep breath and looked up to meet his eyes.. "Huo Yun Chen, I am willing to give it a try."
