You're My Only Star

Following Lin You, Xia Yu sat in the room silently without making any sound. Her eyes were watching Huo Yun Chen as he continued to discuss his music with the others.

After a while, Huo Yun Chen raised his head and look up straight at her.

Xia Yu's heart was pounding.

Previously, Brother Xiang had mentioned that the people on the other side of the glass wall would not be able to see them. This was the reason that Xia Yu had daringly stared at Huo Yun Chen, knowing that he would not know that she was looking at her.

However, his eyes seemed to tell her that he knew that she was there.

Xia Yu lowered her head and took a few deep breaths to calm down.

Huo Yun Chen's discussion finally ended. He stood up and shook hands with the man in front of him. He placed the guitar down and finally walked out.

Xia Yu tightened her grip on her beg.

The door was pushed open from the outside and Huo Yun Chen appeared. He looked at Xia Yu and the corner of his lips turned up. The light in his eyes was too dazzling.

"You get an hour break," Brother Xiang broke the silence. "What do you want to eat for lunch? I'll go and ask someone to send it to your resting room."

"Anything is fine." Huo Yun Chen said. He looked at his manager again and whispered, "Brother Xiang, can I take off earlier today?"

Brother Xiang frowned. He glanced at Xia Yu and finally sighed. "Fine. But come over earlier next morning."

The smile on his lips widened. "Thank you, Brother Xiang!"

The manager patted Huo Yun Chen on the shoulder twice before he walked out.

Suddenly, Xia Yu realized that the two of them were alone. She did not even realize when did Lin You leave the room.

"When did you get here?" Huo Yun Chen asked.

"A while ago," Xia Yu said. "Lin You brought me over."

"I'm glad that you decided to come," Huo Yun Chen said. Previously when he had asked his assistant to invite his girlfriend to the studio, Huo Yun Chen was prepared for the possibility that Xia Yu was going to reject this invitation.

The girl was always shy and he always had to work hard to coax her to agree to something.

The way Huo Yun Chen was staring at her was too intense. Xia Yu lowered her head anxiously and noticed the bag in her hand. "Are you hungry? I brought you lunch."

Huo Yun Chen looked at the bag in Xia Yu's hand and asked, "Did you make them?"

Xia Yu nodded.

Huo Yun Chen grabbed her wrist and spoke, "Come with me. We can eat in the resting room. There's a small dining table there."

Xia Yu recalled that Brother Xiang had mentioned the resting room and followed Huo Yun Chen obediently.

The two of them finally arrived in front of the room. Huo Yun Chen pushed the door open and pulled his girlfriend in.

Xia Yu placed the bag on the table and looked around. She did not expect that this room would be quite big. To call it a resting room was not quite right. Xia Yu thought that this room resembled a studio room. There was even a bedroom in it.

Looking around, Xia Yu had a feeling that someone has been living in this room for a few days.

Her gaze fell on the jacket on the sofa and thought that it was similar to the one that Huo Yun Chen often wears.

It couldn't be that he has been living in this room for the past few days, right?

Xia Yu turned around, wanting to ask him this question but the moment she opened her mouth, Xia Yu found that it was blocked by Huo Yun Chen's kiss.

His sudden movement surprised her. But as his lips continued to glide against hers, Xia Yu began to feel more at ease. Soon, she started to reciprocate his kisses.

It has been a while since she saw him and she was missing him a lot.

Sometimes, Xia Yu thought that it was a little scary how Huo Yun Chen could make her feel like this. The more she fell for him, the scarier it was.

After a long time, Huo Yun Chen pulled away and smiled. "Xia Yu, I miss you a lot. Do you miss me?"

Her head was still a little dizzy after the kisses. Xia Yu could only let out a soft hum.

The smile on his lips stretched up. Huo Yun Chen thought that it would take time before he could make Xia Yu a little more honest with him.

The sound of the door knocking snapped her out of her trance. Xia Yu quickly pulled away from Huo Yun Chen and took a few steps back.

Huo Yun Chen chuckled when he saw the way she had reacted. "Relax. No one would enter this room without permission. Go on in first. That should be the food delivery."

Xia Yu ran further into the room so that no one would be able to notice her presence. Hearing the sound of the closed door, Xia Yu finally heaved in relief.

Huo Yun Chen appeared beside her again and took her over to the dining table.

On the table, there were two sets of lunch boxes. It seemed that Brother Xiang had considered Xia Yu and had ordered some food for her as well.

"I didn't know that you would come over and bring me food," Huo Yun Chen said. "If only I knew, I would not let Brother Xiang get the takeaway. That's right, what did you bring for me?"

"Nothing much. Just some simple dishes."

Huo Yun Chen unboxed the container that Xia Yu had brought and raised a brow. "Simple dishes? If you could call braised ribs as simple dishes, I wonder how would it be if you cook something complicated?"

"I don't know if it will be to your liking."

"I'm not a picky eater. As long as it was made by you, of course, I'm going to like it."

Xia Yu bit her lower lips, trying her best to calm her heartbeat.

"After this short break, I am going to spend a few hours in the studio to record a song," Huo Yun Chen said. "Wait for me, alright? Then, let's go home together."

Xia Yu considered his words and finally nodded.
