Part two will be released later this week.

A few days later...

[Yuna's POV]

I was finally dispatched from the hospital once the doctors ensured I was healthy enough to move around. Not that there was anything physically wrong with me, and I doubt that they could detect the abnormality with my soul, so the examination ended swiftly.

However, I was told to rest, so I took a school break to prepare for the tournament. With this much free time, I spent the rest of the remaining days organising my deck.

While I occasionally left my home, I noticed the increased number of people walking through the streets of Domino City. I understood that they were the duelists participating in this tournament.

Apparently, Kaiba only invited duelists with a high enough ranking worldwide, and all the participants had to collect their duel disk in the Kaiba Corps registration office. With the title Duel King, my ranking was the highest, so I didn't have to wait in the long queue to collect my duel disk.

Surprisingly, the duel disk I received was slightly different than usual. It resembled a normal Duel Disk with a slender design instead. The central disk was made into a smaller oval shape, and the size of the tray was also minimized, not to a degree where I didn't have spaces to place my cards but small enough that it didn't feel too clunky.

I found a small paper at the slot where the deck would be placed and picked up. There was a small message written, and it said:

'Hello, Big Sister; I noticed the regular prototypes may be too awkward. I designed a new duel disk that's better for you!' - Mokuba.

A small smile formed on my lips while I rubbed the note with my fingers. Due to my slender wrist, keeping my arm raised constantly was a little straining. However, this new duel disk would definitely make things easier.

Mokuba has helped me more times than I could count. Maybe I should gift him a card from the system? Imagining Mokuba's happy expression with Kaiba feeling jealous, I laughed in delight.

Other than the duel disk, I was also given a transparent card. I remembered that this was the locator card that every duelist would possess. If my memory serves me correctly, we needed six of those to find the location for the finals.

Putting that thought aside, I carefully brought the duel disk back home. Setting it to the side of my room, I eagerly leapt into my bed and faced the feeling with a sheepish grin: "Battle City... I can't wait..."

[3rd POV]

Next Day...

Yuna woke up early in the morning and quickly dressed up. The Battle City tournament begins today, and all the duelists were instructed to gather at the city square. When dressed, she approached the corner of the room and stared at a box. Yuna gulped and reached inside, grabbing her duel disk and equipping the device onto her wrist. She ran her finger along the smooth surface and grinned. Suddenly, a virtual screen appeared before her, catching her attention.

[Task #6

Make it to the final of the battle city! Locator Card: 1/6

Rewards: x1000 credits for every duelist defeated!]

She nodded to herself and turned off the system panel obstructing her vision. Yuna stepped outside her apartment. The morning sun felt warm, and Yuna closed her eyes to calm her

nerves.

Finally, a few minutes later, Yuna took a deep breath and reopened her eyes. There was a fierce determination on her face as she exhaled: "I'm ready,"

An hour later...

Yuna finally arrived at the city centre, where countless duelists had gathered. She saw few familiar faces, but other than that, there wasn't anyone note-worthy. She glanced at her phone; it was only one more minute before the tournament officially began.

Suddenly, a duelist pointed at the sky and yelled: "Look!"

Everyone raised their head and saw a massive airship flying over the city, darkening the street with its shadow. There was a large monitor attached to the side of the vehicle. As the duelist gazed at the airship, the screen flickered to life, displaying a video of Seto Kaiba.

"Welcome, duelists, to the Battle City tournament, the largest Duel Monsters in the world!" Seto announced: "Every one of you is picked because of your talent in Duel Monsters, and this tournament will determine who will be the best of the best!"

"I expected each of you to read all the rules already so that I will skip that topic altogether. Instead, I will explain how this tournament will proceed." Seto lectured: "All duelists were given a Duel Disk and a locator card. To challenge a duelist, you must wager at least one locator card and one of the most precious cards in your arsenal."

"Our rarest card..." People blurted in shock while some were glancing at others greedily. "To reach the finals," Seto continued: "You will need to collect six of those locator cards, and by stacking them together, it will display the location for the finals."

He laughed: "But don't get too cocky as I will personally participate in this tournament, and I intend to win it!"

"Now, what are you all waiting for? Go and set forth your journey to collect some rare cards and perhaps steal a title from a certain person... You better defend your Duel King title well because I'm coming for it, Yuna Sano..."

Instantly, all the eyes turned to a certain girl standing at the group's centre. Those gazes vary from admiration to envy and hostility. Yuna was annoyed by Seto's provocation and activated her Duel Disk, startling the people around her.

"Ha ha ha! Duel King? What a joke. How could a girl like you be the Duel King?" A man appeared before Yuna said with a laugh: "But since you are, I will thank you for forking over the position to me like a silver platter!"

Yuna glared at the arrogant man standing on the other side. Her ears twitched as she

eavesdropped on spectators' murmuring.

"That's the Germany's number one Duel Monster player, Jordan Becker!" [1]

"To think he's also in this tournament!"

"Is he going to challenge her for the Duel King position?"

Countless whispers made Jordan's ego grow even further as he smirked at Yuna: "How about

it, don't tell me you don't want to duel?"

Yuna frowned and raised a card in the air: "I will wager one locator card and my Blue Eyes

White Dragon."

The spectator gasped. It was common knowledge that Seto Kaiba possessed the rarest card, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and they couldn't believe Yuna had one herself. Jordan's pupils flickered with delight as he imagined what it was like using the Blue Eyes White Dragon for himself: "Heh, I will wager my Darkness Destroyer in this duel."

As if on command, Yuna and Jordan's Duel Disk came to life as the two opponents stared at each other intently: "Duel! x2"

Ten minutes later.....

"H.... how is this possible," Jordan collapsed onto his knees in shock as he watched his life points drop to a resounding zero.

He stared at the Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand in fear, and the golden dragon roared triumphantly. Yuna calmly approached him and took his Darkness Destroyer from the Duel Disk. The duelist couldn't object as he cowered under the terrifying presence of Yuna's

monster.

"To think the Duel King is that strong..."

"Maybe he's just too weak?"

"Still, to banish that Darkness Destroyer so easily, isn't she amazing?"

People voiced their opinions one by one, and gradually, the reputation of Germany's strongest duelist crumbled into pieces. Yuna glanced at the crowd surrounding her, and the ones that met her glare hurriedly averted their gaze.

She tapped the button on the side of her duel disk, and Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand's image disappeared, allowing the gathered duelists to breathe. Yuna walked towards the spectators as the people got out of her way.

Before leaving, Yuna glimpsed at the group, and everyone shivered. She doesn't need to use words as the duelist understood the message: 'If you want the title of the Duel King so badly,

come and get it.'

With the very first duel in Battle City ending, it ignited the fire in all the duelist's hearts. Reminding them that in this tournament, only the strong will survive while the weak will lose

everything...

[Yuna's POV]

Geez, why won't anyone duel with me anymore?

After defeating that arrogant guy, I'm sure people deliberately avoided me! Come on, what's wrong? Don't you want to duel?!

With no luck, I went home depressed and decided to go out later. I wasn't that sensitive to what happened, as my real goal would start at night! Waiting until evening, I finally left the house and continued wandering the streets of the quiet Domino City.

You may wonder why I'm doing this; the answer was obvious. Currently, at midnight, it was the prime time to hunt some Rare Hunters!

Who were the Rare Hunters, you may ask? They were an evil organisation created by Marik Ishtar, the main antagonist of the Battle City arc and the one that possesses two out of the three Egyptian God Cards, the Winged Dragon of Ra and Silfer the Sky Dragon. Marik aimed to use the three God Cards' power to rule the world. Still, before he could, his

sister, Ishizu Ishtar, stole the third God Card, Obelisk the Tormentor and gifted the card to Kaiba and informed Kaiba to take the other two God Cards, which ultimately led the young president to host the tournament to lure Marik out.

Unsurprisingly, it worked, but Marik first sent those Rare Hunters as minions, leading us to now. So, finally, that's where I come in!

In the show, Yugi defeated those Rare Hunters and attracted Marik's attention. Wanting to

defeat Yugi and take his Millenium Puzzle, Marik used Silfer the Sky Dragon but lost, granting our protagonist the card.

But how about, instead of giving it to Yugi, it would be me? I have to defeat enough Rare

Hunters to get Marik's interest; then boom, he would use SIlfer the Sky Dragon to duel me!

Pretty smart, right?

You might think this would be too dangerous, but remember, it's the Yugioh Universe we discussed. Everything can be settled with a duel! If things turned south, I still have a Taser for

self-defence.

Reflecting on my plan, I continued to wander through the streets. Eventually, I entered a dark alley. My steps echoed, and I subconsciously reached for the stun gun in my back pocket.

I walked with bated breath until I finally spotted some suspicious cloaked individuals. I hid around the corner and watched as more and more of them gathered.

"Lord Odion, these are the Rare Cards and Locator Chips we have gathered." One of the Rare Hunters told the man in the middle of the group.

My eyes widened. Odion? Marik's right-hand man and adoptive brother? I felt nervous knowing that the second boss of this arc was close by. Maybe I should give up on this idea, or I

might bite off more than I can chew.

Unfortunately, it may already be too late for that...

"Who's there?" Odion questioned with a frown, and I hurriedly hid behind the walls.

No way, did I get caught. My heart beats erratically; maybe he's referring to someone else. "The one around the corner," He said with a threatening tone: "Come out now unless

something bad will happen."

[3rd POV]

Odion glared at the area where the intruder was hiding. It was when his subordinates were

reporting to him that he detected the unwanted presence. Fortunately for Odion, the stalker was rather amateurish at their job, and they were found rather quickly.

The stranger revealed themself, and Odion was surprised it was a girl. Observing her face,

realisation donned Odion, and he recalled the girl's identity. Yuna Sano, the current Duel King. His suspicion was further confirmed when he noticed the duel disk on her wrist.

"This is not a place you should be," Odion said calmly: "Why are you here?" Yuna paused and averted his gaze: "A... A cat," She lied.

Odion froze in surprise: "A cat, you say?" He pinched the bridge and laughed: "To think you

came here for a cat?"

He knew Yuna was lying. However, the excuse was so absurd that he couldn't help but chuckle.

Odion then glanced at her duel disk and pondered. The Rare Hunters were too weak to stand a chance against her...

"Sir, should we eliminate her?" His subordinate whispered.

Odion has considered this option and instantly deemed it impossible. Yuna's presence was too

big, and her disappearance would hinder his master's plan. Secondly, despite her frail appearance, Odion could sense two insanely powerful spirits residing within her...

'Do I have to fight?' Odion thought and nodded.

He turned to Yuna: "Unfortunately, I have not seen the cat you spoke of. But, instead of offering nothing, how about a duel?"

"My lord..." A Rare Hunter called from behind: "Let me fight, I will defeat that girl,"

However, Odion immediately turned him down: "All of you are too weak. The meeting ends now, and we will meet again at the set time."

All the cloaked figures reluctantly left while only Odion and Yuna remained: 'If I win, I can get

her Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand. Master Marik will be pleased.'

Odion activated his duel disk, and Yuna followed suit as the two devices came to life: "Duel!"
