Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 150 Moonlight organization

"You interest me," Linkir said, and Ariya frowned. Right now, she was just focused on completing her master's mission, but meeting another Quasi-Rank 3 being was causing her severe headache.

Several questions bubbled up in her head: Why is she here? What does she want? What does she hope to gain? and so on.

"Alright, this world is eventually too weak and might be destroyed the next moment, so let's cut it off then," Linkir said as her form slowly changed back to her beautiful wolf-kin form.

Seeing this, Ariya's mind calmed, though she was still suspicious. But this other Quasi-Rank 3 being was correct.

She didn't know how strong this world was, but a Quasi-Rank 3 being's fight could cause even a universe to be destroyed. So, if this could be stopped, she would gladly do it.

The left side of her hair turned back to golden, and her left eye did too.

"Who are you?" Ariya asked, puzzled.

Seeing the danger had been averted, Chu Su, Buis, and Louk came close to them and heard their conversation clearly.

"Me? I'm Linkir. And who are you?" Linkir asked with curiosity.

"I'm Ariya," Ariya replied.

"A good name , i will remember it but For a good and lovely time in existence, don't stand in my way in the future, or else I won't care and will kill you," Linkir said coldly and disappeared.

Ariya watched as she disappeared and felt quiet. She had an urge that Linkir wasn't bluffing. But what did she mean by not standing in her way? What does she hope to accomplish? Will it affect this world in a bad way?

"Sister," Chu Su called out, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Yeah, hey," Ariya replied with a slight smile.

"What's wrong? What did she say? Is she an S-rank being like you too?" Louk suddenly asked in concern.

Seeing this brought a smile to Ariya's face.

"Nothing is wrong, and it's fine. Maybe she is, maybe she's more," Ariya replied, smiling.

"That dread I felt—was it just from those two? They didn't even release their aura, yet I feel so stuffed. I strangely feel the world growing darker," Buis thought in fear.

He was truly afraid, but more than that, a strange question entered his mind. Are they really S-rank adventurers?

Or are they S-rank because of the equipment limit in this guild? This question sent a chill through his heart. If they were SS-rank, then that would be terrifying—or even SSS-rank.

"Alright, I don't want to meet those old men, so can we go, sister?" Chu Su asked as Ariya nodded.

In a flash, they all disappeared.

Just then, two old men appeared and looked around, confused.

"What happened here?" the city lord asked with concern as they looked around.

"Come and look at this," the guild leader suddenly said, and the city lord frowned as he appeared beside him.

In front of them was a five-meter-deep ditch.

"What's wrong?" the city lord asked, not seeing anything unusual.

"Go inside first," the guild leader said as the city lord nodded and went inside. Everything seemed normal until—

"What's going on? I can't use my ability! My strength—it's gone?" the city lord's eyes widened in shock as the guild leader nodded.

"Come back out," the guild leader said, and the city lord walked out. His ability and strength returned.

"What's this?" the city lord asked in shock.

"I don't know what this is, but a being that can cause this is immensely powerful," the guild leader said, and the city lord nodded.

Of course, this ditch was created during the face-off between Ariya and Linkir.

At an inn...

At the ground floor on a table, Ariya and the others were mixed in with the adventurers, discussing recent events enthusiastically.

"So how long till the news spreads?" Ariya asked as Louk kept quiet, thinking.

"It will reach other cities starting from today to a week. Then kingdoms within a month," Buis finally spoke, and everyone's gaze turned to him.

"How do you know this?" Chu Su asked the question on everyone's mind. If Buis was like Louk, he shouldn't have been able to answer, but his response seemed to imply—

"I was originally from the kingdom, so I know some things—especially how long it takes for the news to reach us," Buis said with a smile.

Chu Su and Ariya understood this. After all, their world was also large. They had seen and felt that gap in communication.

"Okay, good. It gives us enough time to merge into the darkness and create our organization," Ariya said as Chu Su smiled.

"Father, it is about to start," Louk thought anxiously as Buis smiled a bit.

"The repayment of the favor comes first, so I will stick with Louk," Buis thought.

If it was before, he wouldn't have even dreamed of joining any organization. He would have stayed far away. After all, he was accused of the death of his own family.

Scenes of those times came back to him. He remembered vividly: he and the elders all went out to perform their duty; their ancestor had died a month prior. A S rank adventurer died due to a wound sustained earlier while fighting with a S rank magic creature.

Things looked grim for them as other clans set their eyes on them. Without their leader they were lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

During a mission with the elders , at some point while exploring the dungeon, his vision blurred, and there was a gap in his memory.

All he remembered was himself standing under dark clouds as rain fell heavily on him. Surrounding him were the corpses of all his clan members, including the elders. How he got there ? And why this happened he didn't know.

He didn't know what happened, but the news quickly reached the army stationed in the kingdom, and he was convicted. The only saving grace for him was that he was a B-rank adventurer—there's no way he could have killed an A-rank adventurer. Not to talk of his elders which were all the top at the A rank .

In the cell he was taken to, he thought about it day and night: his bloody hands, the scared expressions in his dead clan members' eyes, the elders' strange smile.

At first, he thought someone framed him, but even if he had an idea, who would believe him? After all, he was there, and the scene was vivid.

Not only that, the situation got worse, and he saw himself truly killing his clan members. All this was recorded with an A-rank magic equipment called the Mirror of Truth that the royal clan had.

That was the last straw that shattered his mentality. Even though he felt guilty, even though he screamed inside saying he had no reason to do it, no one believed him.

They also didn't care for the reason. He did kill them. Just when everything was looking grim, and he had no hope but to die, the city lord came out for him.

He pleaded with them and said in a year, he would bring proof that Buis wasn't the one who did it.

It caused a huge shock to everyone, and in Buis's dim and hopeless light, he saw the city lord.

The city lord was, of course, the good friend of Buis's father.

With a sigh, Buis stopped remembering those memories.

The news that Infite City had two S-rank adventurers spread rapidly through every city. The storm this created was massive, leaving citizens and adventurers in shock as they waited for the news to finally reach the kingdom.

Unlike the shocked crowd reacting to the revelation, those responsible were busy designing a massive building. With financial support and assistance from the city lord, they constructed a large headquarters for their organization.

The city lord was ecstatic upon learning that the two S-rank adventurers planned to settle in his city. This directly resolved many of the problems that had been troubling him.

Even if an S-rank dungeon break occurred, his city would stand strong while others fell. His joy only grew when he discovered that his son was involved with them, and together with Buis, they were planning something significant.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Now I can rest in peace. I should take a trip to the kingdom," the city lord said with a smile.

The trip was motivated in part by Buis. Over the past months, the city lord had been gathering evidence and now had enough to prove Buis's innocence. After all, He was a strong A-rank adventurer.

"So, what will the name be? Can I name it?" Louk asked with a grin.

"No!" Chu Su said, folding her arms as Louk glared at her like an adversary. Chu Su seemed to oppose him in everything.

"Haha... Alright, you two, calm down. I've thought of a name. Let's name it after our auction house," Ariya said, pausing with a smile.

"The Moonlight Organization—we work in darkness, hide in it, and do everything in the shadows," Ariya said as her golden eyes scanned the group, awaiting their approval with a faint smile.

"I've never heard of any organization called the moonlight before. They're definitely not from this continent. With this level of strength, the kingdom would never allow them to roam freely," Buis thought, his eyes scanning the two cautiously. Still, he asked a question.

"What is the purpose of this organization?" Buis asked.

"Easy," Ariya said with a smile.

"We are a killer organization," Ariya replied, causing Louk to step back. Buis's shadow ability fluctuated as he prepared to defend Louk from the two, despite knowing they were far stronger than him.

"Ki... ki... killer organization?" Louk stammered, his hands trembling in fear.

Seeing this, Chu Su laughed. Her laughter was enchanting, yet mocking, as Louk gritted his teeth.

"She's going to insult me again," Louk thought angrily and his guess didn't fail.

"Ha! And you claim to protect us, yet you can't even be part of a killer organization. Pathetic," Chu Su said, her voice dripping with scorn. Louk pointed at her in shock.

"You—!"

"It's fine, boy. We're essentially dungeon raiders. Our mission is to kill magic beasts," Ariya said with a calm smile.

She had considered it carefully. Since Chu Su mentioned that the energy levels were too low, they decided to create an organization that would hunt magic beasts and clear dungeons.

After all, while the guild issued quests and registered adventurers, the Moonlight Organization would focus solely on dungeon raiding. Ariya wondered how the world would react to the emergence of an S-rank dungeon-raiding organization.
