Infinite Potential System

Chapter 332: Realmic Rules, Order

A Territory! And of the Chaos Element! William was ecstatic.

While he hadn't used the Chaos Element much, he had to admit that it was incredibly strong in battle. Having fought the Element during his upgrades, William was learning a lot about how he should be using the Element.

If I find a Cultivator that takes pride in his Elements, I can turn it against him in an instant! I can only imagine how surprised Supreme Left would have been if his own Fire Element burned him!

William looked at his age, which was only 364 years out of the total 1200 years of lifespan. Given that the previous upgrade only took nine years of his life, William assumed the final upgrade wouldn't be so dangerous, right?

Either way he would have to upgrade it eventually, and raising the Seal Element to X-Rank beforehand might be suicide.

If I can Ascend these Elements too... No, I'll think about that later.

William didn't wait for his Elements to recover, since he didn't want to waste time standing still. He would have liked to test out the Chaos Territory, but waiting over a day just to do so was boring, to say the least.

System, it's time for the X-Rank Chaos upgrade.

-500000 PP

Ouch, that hurt. William winced as half a million Potential Points were lost in one go.

The System upgrade started immediately, and a surprised Chaos figure returned barely moments after dissipating. Its confusion was quickly replaced by anger when it noticed that the person responsible for its appearance was once again the insufferable William.

"Цშ ᰄʄ П𖼜ЯT𐋐𖼜ЯƝ! TЯѠΛ𐋐 T𐋐Ⳝᔕ ΣშშꝒ Ѡ ꝒЯᔕᔕშƝ!"

William was too focused on the Elements rampaging inside his body to read the Chaos figure's lips, but he could imagine it had ordered the Elements to attack. He did his best to guard against the consecutive Chaos Spells, tilting left and right to avoid taking any direct hits.

The Plant Element sent a thick vine to wrap around his left leg, while the Earth Element reinforced the vine to make it unbreakable in a short time. Ice joined in, covering the Earth with a secondary layer while the Wind Element channeled all its energy into pulling the vine towards William's right side.

The combined efforts of all four Domains focused into a single Spell allowed the Elements to finally pull William's leg out from under him, forcing him to fall to the ground. What more, the short fall was enough to rip open three layers of space, forcing Tribulation Clouds to appear overhead once more.

The System went silent once again, doing its best to obscure William's situation to the beings above. It sent William the necessary notifications, then disappeared from his mind temporarily. It was already too late to stop others from seeing the upgrade, but it could at least hide the Chaos figure.

Golden Girl, who was trimming her nails while riding a cloud, looked downward while her eyes glowed, peering through the Myriad Realms and landing on a familiar boy that she thought had already Ascended.

"I sent the portal down to him, what the hell? Am I remembering things wrong?" Golden Girl muttered as she twirled her fingers. The same Superior Tribulation formed as before, but for some reason it wouldn't attack at all.

"That's not right..." she took a closer look at William's situation, finding that all of his Elements had gone rampant and were attacking him wantonly. The scene was much hazier than normal, but she could tell that William was... fighting himself? Chapter Read:

"Hahaha! This kid is funny!" Golden Girl wiped a tear from her eye when she saw William being dragged backwards across the ground by an Earth and Ice-reinforced vine.

She kept the Superior Tribulation running so she could watch but controlled it to gather its energy slowly. Only this method would allow her to watch this hilarious scene without interruption, as per the Realmic Rules.

Her laugher only intensified as William's body was quickly raised upwards by a pillar of Earth from underneath, then dropped from a height of five kilometers straight into a pit that went well past the vision of the Tribulation Clouds.

A plume of lava sent William floating upwards, having come from the World's mantle itself. While it didn't have an immediate and lasting effect on William's body, it served its purpose to disorient William, making him want to throw up from the constant upward-downward movements.

"I have knockback immunity, what the fuck!" William cried out just in time for a stream of lava to enter his mouth and nose. He coughed up the lava, but hardly managed to take a breath before he was drowned in a sea of Ice-turned water.

If the System were here, it would have calmly noted that he wasn't being pushed or knocked back, rather pulled in. They were two different types of movement, and he only had resistance to one of them.

-The Heavens are entertained: +1 Attention

Hours passed in the same scenario, the red Tribulation Clouds striking him with Lightning from time to time while Golden Girl wheezed. Her face hurt from smiling so much, and she couldn't remember the last time she had laughed so hard.

Probably not since Aegion's Birthday party. she thought.

"I don't know who would win, this William or brother Aegion? I wonder what brother would think if he met this person?" she muttered to herself as the final Tribulation Bolt landed, causing no damage despite William's already wounded body.

"Well, considering his current situation, I'm sure I'll find out soon enough." she smiled as her eyes returned to their usual form.

On William's end, he looked at the Chaos figure seriously. His body was covered in minor wounds that the Recovery Talent was healing one at a time, while the Chaos figure was returning William's solemn stare.

It had failed to attract the attention of the Heavens to dispose of this person, and his body was too strong for it to cause any serious damage, even with its Territory actively suppressing him. The Chaos Element gritted its teeth, calling upon the one Element it despised the most.

William suddenly felt weird, as if he was undergoing the Hard Body Talent merging again. His own figure seemed to reject him, trying to separate his Soul, Body, and Mana respectively. The feeling was very faint, but it was enough for William's forehead to fill with beads of sweat.

He used his Soul Strength to pull his Soul back towards his body, fighting against some unknown Mana that was calm in the most dangerous type of way. Emotions overwhelmed William's entire being, describing the nature of William's unknown opponent word by word.

"Refined. Noble. Elegant."

"Sequence. Structure. Series."

"Harmony. Containment. Peace."

"Law. Discipline. Calm. Control."

"Ritual. Ceremony. Sacrament. Service."

The words sped up and multiplied. Tens of times, hundreds of times. Thousands of times.

They rang out in his head, clouding his mind and distracting his thoughts. Separating what was real and fake like the Illusion Element, but also separating what was the past, present, and future like the Time Element.

"Class. Level. Rank. Grade. Position. Arbitration.

Judgement. Decision."

...

"Order." William and the Chaos figure said out loud in unison.
