Lord MMORPG: The Demon Progenietor

Chapter 70 Family problems (3)

As Sandra was about to open the door she... and Xander heard voices coming from inside.

"How many now?"

"A total of 700,091 dead."

"Dad?!" Sandra mumbled as she heard the second voice which sounded exactly like her father's.

Inside the office a man stood in front of a blue screen showing the number of gamers that were dead.

The man had short black hair which had a few strands of grey, testament of his age. He was still good-looking and had the vibe of a silent, strong man.

Behind him stood two mysterious people in black hoods.

"Good. Your plan to use technology as a mode of transmission for the sacrifice was brilliant. In two months the sacrifice has almost been completed."

"Yes. When we bring our God to this world, everything would be set straight." The man, who apparently was Lucas Dave said, his expression grim.

*Ba!*

The door was slammed open, alerting the two hooded people and Lucas. They all turned to the door on alert to see Sandra looking at her dad with an angry expression, a tear drop slid down her cheeks.

"Sandra?"

Lucas was surprised to see that his daughter survived the game and he instinctively moved to embrace her.

"STOP!"

Lucas put on a confused expression as he halted in his tracks.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Why are you with these people dad?!" She asked, her tone filled with fury.

It wasn't that she was angry at her dad, she was angry that he would make her lose him. Her mother hasn't been around very much, if Terrox finds out about her dad's affiliation, which they would eventually do, they might kill him.

"Sandra, I've missed you. Let's go talk about this over a drink." Lucas said with a smirk but it seemed that Sandra wasn't ready to calm down.

"Answer the question now!"

Lucas looked at Sandra from head to toe in disbelief.

"Are you really my daughter?" He asked, unsure whether he was still talking to his innocent princess that would do whatever he says.

"You better believe it. Now, why would you help these murderers dad? The world is in chaos, because of you."

The two hooded people twitched at the words Sandra spoke and a faint gasping sound came out from their hoods which blocked their face.

Even Lucas looked extremely surprised but his expression immediately became stern and he furrowed his brows.

"How much do you know?" He asked in a stern tone.

"I know that y–you helped the ghoulshippers. And–"

"SHUT UP!!" Lucas snapped.

Sandra stopped talking. She struggled to keep her angry expression on as tears flowed down her cheeks.

Lucas, seeing his daughter's state let out a tired sigh.

"Why?" Sandra's quivering voice reached his ears.

Lucas then turned around to look at the two hooded people in hoods and they stepped back.

"Your mother died, Sandra."

As Sandra heard those words it was as if an explosion went off inside her mind. Those words were so heavy to her that she felt weak at that moment.

"Y–You're joking. R–Right?" She stammered, hoping for a positive reply.

"No I'm not joking." Lucas looked away, back at the screen on the wall which continued to count more numbers.

Sandra fell on her knees as her dad confirmed his words. She didn't want to believe him but her mom hasn't been around for months. And then she spent a whole month inside an inescapable cave.

When she came back she didn't see or hear from her mom. Just thinking about the beautiful, strangely white haired woman who was her mom made the tears she held for since the beginning of the day began pouring out.

"You won't know how it feels when you expected someone to come back but they don't. Their god has been proven to exist. If they do this... OFFERING to him, then I could get one request."

Sandra looked up to see her father closing his eyes. He looked as if he didn't have a choice but she wasn't sure whether to accept or to not accept it.

'Mom.'

She sat there, thinking. The tears stopped flowing out of her eyes as she began to think. Her eyes looked a little swollen and her scelera had a tinge of red in them.

'Mom can be saved.' She thought.

All other thoughts like stopping the apocalypse or keeping track of her life stones went out the window and the only thing she could think about was her mother.

'I–I can't let them capture my dad.' Sandra thought and then she ran out of the door.

Opening the door she didn't see Xander beside it and her eyes widened. 'He had already gone back to tell them.'

She dashed out of the building with inhuman speed only to be stopped at the image of a black haired boy in a dashing suit, smiling while looking into a glass cage filled with water.

His red eyes were so mesmerizing and his smile gave him a charm unlike no other.

Sandra slowly walked towards Xander and when she got to his side she looked into the water to see a fish family swimming around peacefully.

"A family is extremely valuable and can never be replaced." Xander said as he grabbed the biggest fish which he thought to be the mother out of the water and the little fishes scattered and began swimming in all directions in panic.

"When a part is missing, chaos ensues. But when the pieces are together..." Xander put the mother of the dishes back into the glass cage and the children came towards her and surrounded her.

"...the chaos shall be replaced with harmony."

Sandra, despite what has been going on literally had stars in her eyes.⁶

'How could a single person be so cool?' She thought as she stared at Xander feeling something in her stomach tingling.

"My mom is in the custody of the ghoulshippers. At least that's what I hope," Xander said as he turned to face her.

"I'm going to give you two days to think about the choice your dad made and all the chaos it will cause." Xander said and walked away from the compound leaving Sandra looking at his torso which soon vanished in the distance.
