Chapter 27: Dancing Video

“Leader, something bad has happened to the subway!”

The investigator’s secretary ran into the lead investigator’s office in a hurry.

“What happened?”

The leader was nervous and had a serious expression.

After all, the subway was not a car. If something happened, it would not just involve one or two individuals. There were hundreds or even thousands of people who used the subway every day.

“Leader, you will know more after you take a look at this video.”

The secretary took out her phone and clicked on the video.

The leader took her phone. He was very serious.

After the leader watched the video, his expression changed. His expression could not be described.

“Is this what happened?”

The leader stared at the secretary.

He thought to himself, “Should I change my secretary?”

“There seems to be something wrong with her IQ.”

“Leader, this happened on Line 9 of the subway this morning. Many people couldn’t help but dance. They said that they were possessed by a ghost,” said the secretary. She had on a serious expression.

“Okay, I got it. You can leave first.”

The leader nodded after listening to his secretary.

After his secretary left the office, the leader gave Eve a call.

Smith was in his office. He was calculating how much money he had.

“The previous 350 million plus the 1.5 billion for the tunnel and the 650 million for the first phase of the project, I got this! Now, I can take out about 2.5 billion in liquid funds.”

Smith nodded.

“It’s about time that I buy a piece of land.”

Smith was satisfied after calculating the money he had in his hands.

As for the money that he earned from the renovation of the residential area and highway, Smith could not even be bothered to count them.

“Bang, bang, bang.”

There was a knock on his office door.

Eve walked into the office and showed a video to Smith.

“Boss, there seems to be a problem with the tunnel we opened. Many people said that they had been possessed by a ghost,” said Eve in a panic tone.

“What? Possessed by a ghost? That’s impossible.”

Smith shook his head.

He had already changed his attributes.

How could someone be possessed by a ghost? Plus, there were so many people.

How could there be a ghost in broad daylight?

“Boss, you’ll know when you see it.”

Eve played the video. She then put her phone on the anti-theft desk.

Smith watched the video. He was very curious. He wanted to know what they meant when they say they were being possessed by a ghost.

In the video, Smith saw a group of people dancing.

They were very engaged.

It was especially exciting for people who had skills in dancing.

They did all kinds of dances such as hip-hop dance, mechanical dance, Latin dance, pole dance, and belly dance.

As for those who could not dance, they were shaking their heads as if they were crazy.

Nevertheless, everyone seemed very happy dancing.

The video lasted for one minute.

Just as the video was about to end, the group of people stopped dancing.

Everyone had a dazed look on their faces.

The video then ended.

Smith also felt that it was strange.

“Who brought the chicken to the subway?”

When Eve heard Smith’s words, she asked curiously, “Boss, what kind of chicken are you talking about?”

“Ah, it’s nothing. By the way, can we bring poultry to the subway station now?” Smith asked curiously.

“No, boss. Why are you asking this question?”

“It’s nothing. I’m just curious. Just asking.”

Eve did not continue asking. It was obvious that Smith did not want to talk about it, so it was pointless to ask.

However, one thing was certain; Smith knew that this problem would occur on the subway and the problem was related to a chicken.

Eve then left his office.

“Why would they dance if there was no chicken? The people who were in the same carriage all danced but the people taking pictures next to them weren’t affected. Why was that?” asked Smith. He was confused.

After Eve left the office, she immediately called her superior and reported what she had found out.

Soon, the investigators sealed off the carriage and put a chicken on the subway.

However, they were not affected when they went through the tunnel.

The investigators did not know what to say.

It could not be wrong since Smith was the one who said it.

It seemed like they might have made a mistake instead. However, they did not know what they were doing wrong.

A chicken?

Must it be a hen and not a rooster?

Something was not right.

According to the surveillance video of the subway station, no one brought a chicken onto the train that morning.

Just as the investigators were about to hit a dead end, they received news regarding the subway again.

Something happened at the subway again.

“Find the similarities between the two incidents immediately,” ordered the leader.

After viewing both surveillance footage, they took note of one individual.

According to the surveillance footage, there was one person who was at the scene of both subway incidents.

“Investigate her,” ordered the leader again.

Soon, they had information on the woman. A meeting was then held in the conference room.

This was probably the highest level of investigation yet.

“She came to the city a year ago and worked in hotels, bathhouses, and KTV bars. She worked in the sex industry.”

After one of the investigators finished reporting about the woman, the entire meeting room fell silent.

Right at that moment, the leader understood what chicken meant.

They had spent the entire day and used more than ten elite investigators to investigate a prostitute.

“Meeting adjourned.”

The leader did not say anything further and ended the meeting.

After returning to his office, the lead investigator felt like he could not allow Smith to continue with his shenanigans any longer.

“Call Smith over tomorrow.”

The lead investigator thought about it and decided to find Smith to have a talk.

The next day, Smith received a notice.

George was looking for him.

Smith did not think too much about it. He brought Eve and asked Barrett to drive him to his meeting place with George.

However, when they arrived, he realized that it was a completely different situation.

Were they not meeting to talk about business?

What kind of place is this? The Investigators’ Information Center?

“Mr. Smith, please come in. Our leader is waiting for us in the office.”

“What leader?”

“The leader of the investigators.”
