Naruto: Child of Chakra

Inside Hiruzen's house, which was situated in the larger Sarutobi Clan compound, a meeting was taking place. It was between Hiruzen, Jiraiya and Tsunade.

Jiraiya put the tongue he had gotten from Shiroken in front of Hiruzen, "What is the meaning of this?"

Tsunade asked, "What is this?"

"Tongue of one of the attackers who tried to kill you some days ago. Lord Dama gave it to me. Lord Third, isn't this tattoo used by Root?" Jiraiya straightforwardly asked.

Hiruzen gulped, one after another his mistakes were coming to bite him in the ass. "Yes, you are correct."

Tsunade had already read everything about the village by now, material that only a Hokage could read. So she knew what this Root was all about. But, what both Jiraiya and Tsunade didn't know was that there were many things that Hiruzen had kept secret. These things were never recorded in official documents.

"Then care to tell me why Root attacked Lady Tsunade? Did you not ban the organisation?" Jiraiya asked him.

Hiruzen stared at the tongue with a conflicted face, "Y-yes... I did ban it. But... it seems Danzo didn't take my order seriously."

*BAM*

Tsunade slammed her fist on the coffee table, "What do you mean 'didn't take it seriously'? You were the Hokage, it was you who sanctioned the formation of the organisation, you had the authority to disband it too."

"It is not as easy as it sounds. Danzo has helped the village a lot. He has been working like the shadow Hokage, doing things that I couldn't do publicly. He loves the village as much as I do." Hiruzen was still foolish enough to defend his friend.

Jiraiya didn't like this one bit. "Where was his love for the village when he decided to kill Lady Tsunade? It's clear he wants nothing but to become Hokage. It has been his ambition for years. I don't have to remind you of the assassination attempt he made on you."

Tsunade was shocked by this, Danzo tried to kill Hiruzen? It was like treason, and death was the only possible solution for this. "Why didn't you arrest him then?"

Jiraiya disappointedly replied, "Because he thought Danzo could change and do something for the village. If he was okay with killing Lady Tsunade, I can't even begin to imagine what else he has done that we don't know about. You seriously let a loose canon roam around freely, Lord Third. Even Lord Hashirama killed his best friend, Madara Uchiha, just because he threatened the village. And yet here you are, Danzo attacked a sitting Hokage and he still roams around with pride and authority."

Tsunade was also disappointed by Hiruzen's decisions, "Honestly, I am slowly coming to a realisation that it'd be better if we just gave ourselves to Lord Dama to rule. You have clearly made us not just physically weaker but also internally weaker. How do we deal with Danzo now?"

Jiraiya sighed, "Well, Lord Dama warned me that we only have one month to deal with him. And if we don't, he will do it, and it won't be any merciful, not that I want it to be."

"I say we let Lord Dama do it." Tsunade immediately suggested.

Hiruzen was cornered. If he says anything in favour of Danzo right now, then he can forget to ever get any respect from his two students. "I agree, let Lord Dama do it. But we can at least ask him to conduct a proper trial first."

"You expect that he won't find anything and Danzo won't die?" Tsunade asked, knowing what her shrewd sensei was thinking.

"The man has done a lot of things for the safety of the village, Lady Tsunade. At most, he should be exiled." Hiruzen argued, making the two of the legendary sannin question their sensei's intelligence.

Jiraiya didn't agree with him, "And then what? Wait for him to plot and attack Konoha? So he can become the Hokage? Or watch as he joins the Akatsuki? Danzo knows too much to be let loose, even less so when his character is already questionable. You were the Hokage, tell me truthfully, where was Danzo getting the funds to run Root?"

"I-I don't know. Root was established from the funds left by Lord Fourth and lasted for a while. I don't know where he gets the money to still run it now." Hiruzen confessed.

Tsunade was silent now. In her mind, the words of Shiroken echoed again, 'Keep your eyes open and try to look at things beyond the surface. You will see that the reality is much darker than the colourful surface.'

And finally, she was face to face with that darkness.

Shiroken was on his way to the Sound Country, at the same time Akatsuki had regrouped outside Konohagakure to initiate an attack. All they were waiting for was the confirmation that Shiroken had arrived in the Sound Village. Once that happened and they'd be sure that Shiroken was too far away, they would then commence the attack.

Pain faced his team of 6. Deidara, Itachi Uchiha, Kisame Hoshigaki, Konan and Sasori stood behind him. It was early morning right now so they had enough daytime to launch an attack.

"I will pulverise the village from the sky. In the meantime, I need you all to locate the Jinchurikis of the two beasts and capture them. We do not need to extract the beasts right now." He ordered them.

They all nodded their heads and agreed to the plan. With that, Pain flew to the sky, going higher than the clouds.

However, there was one member among them who was worried for the village, as his loyalty lied with it.

Sound Village,

Kakuzu, Hidan, Tobi and Juzo Biwa had already caught the Jinchuriki of Son Goku, Roshi. Roshi was an Iwagakure shinobi but to better understand and control the power of the beast within him he had left the village.

However, it turned out to be a mistake on his part as he lost the safety net of the village. Resulting in his current situation where he was caught by the four Akatsuki members.

But, surprisingly, they did not harm him. They had just tied him up and told him to stay silent if he did not want any conflict. Roshi tried to use his Bijuu powers but he just couldn't. The reason was that Son Goku knew that Shiroken was coming to get him and he was highly excited. So he decided to wait patiently.

The four attackers sat and waited there.

Shiroken didn't come too fast purposefully. He wanted the attackers to have a false sense of security and hope that they were faster and smarter than him. Hence, he took one whole night to reach the Sound Country.

Then he took a few more hours to look for Son Goku, despite knowing his locations.

After spending hours, he finally walked into a small human village where Roshi was living. As soon as he arrived he saw the four members of Akatsuki.

He smiled, "Ah, so it was Akatsuki that was planning all this. Good to see that you have made my work easier. Now I don't need to find you all to kill you."

"Hehe... overconfidence is bad, it gets you killed." Tobi goofily replied.

Shiroken scoffed, "The only overconfident people here are you four. Come here now."

He raised his arm all of a sudden and immediately Hidan's body flew right into Shiroken's palm, with his neck precisely falling into his hand.

"I shall show you what having absolute strength means." He muttered and ripped apart Hidan's head from his body completely.

"Still not dead." Unexpectedly, Hidan's voice came. Even with his head being taken off, he could speak.

Shiroken was surprised but not much, "I see, some sort of immortality? Fine then, I will use another way. Let's see if you can handle a molecular separation."

Shiroken started using Natural Energy right inside Hidan's body to disintegrate him. In the human body, the flesh was the major part that contained Natural Energy, and here Shiroken attacked it.

Initially smiling, Hidan finally started panicking as he started losing his legs. It was as if they were turning to ashes. "AAAA..." His head was completely detached from his body, so he could not control it and do something.

"Why don't you smile now? Immortality not working anymore?" Shiroken mocked him.

Seeing their partner dying, the first one to attack was Kakuzu. Shiroken just waved his hand. In a fraction of a second, faster than any ninja could react, 5 different spikes of tree roots rushed out of the ground and pierced through his chest.

Shiroken was just too overpowering for them. Kakuzu didn't even feel it when it happened, only when he felt unable to move and looked down did he see it.

"Hmm, five hearts? Did you think I wouldn't see it? You are very famous actually. But, I guess, even your Immortality failed today. Anyone else wants to claim they are immortal?" Shiroken asked the remaining two.

Kakuzu was dead already, not even getting the chance to use his powers, his body fell to the ground with a thud. Hidan was screaming and dying slowly as his body disintegrated. Tobi and Juzo Biwa finally felt the pressure of the situation. But, Tobi had at least passed the information to Pain that Shiroken was here. This meant that Konoha was being besieged right now. However, the two were yet to face Shiroken and it was questionable if they could hold him for long.

...

Meanwhile, inside Roshi's mind space.

"WOHOOO! YEAH, BABY! BEAT THEM UP, SHIRO! SHOW 'EM THE APE SUPREMACY! MONKEY POWER GOOOOO!..." Son Goku was cheering, watching Shiroken stomp on his enemies.
