116 – Kariya Jin

=Karakura Town, Karakura General Hospital, August 23rd Afternoon=

Ichigo burst into the room. "Ishida!" He yelled.

Masaki frowned and grabbed him by the ear and pulled him aside. "Shh... he's injured," she said.

"Ahhh... mom!" Ichigo screamed in pain.

Ishida was laying in a hospital bed wrapped in bandages. "It hurts my injuries, so next time, will you please enter more quietly?" He said

"You're all right?" Rukia asked.

"Thank goodness." Inoue said.

"What in the world happened?" Ichigo asked.

Ishida said the female Bount told him when Bount suck the soul of a living person they gain immense energy. So much that they would affect space itself allowing them to travel to the afterworld. It would also undermine the balance of the world. It had been against the rules to do so, but a Bount who disagreed appeared, Jin Kariya. Her goal was to defeat him and end his ambitions.

Jin would come for Ishida because he was a Quincy. After that he lost consciousness and woke up in the hospital.

=Karakura Town, In Front Of Karakura General Hospital, Night=

Ichigo's group had been hunted throughout the hospital by two young male Bount who each possessed a water-based doll that could control all the water in the environment. They finally managed to escape the hospital to find it was raining outside.

The two dolls appeared from the rain puddles in front of them and the two young male Bount revealed themselves.

"Don't you think it's about time we get them Ban?" One of the Bount said.

"I think so, Ho," The other replied.

"Here we go!" They shouted in tandem.

Their dolls started absorbing the surrounding water to grow larger and even combined together to grow even larger once again.

They were suddenly interrupted by the sound of clapping echoing.

It took them all a few moments to realise it was coming from the roof of the hospital. There they saw two women standing side by side. One a mature woman with wavy brown hair in what appeared to be a bone-like white body armour that covered everything except her head. The other a young woman with long sleek black hair wearing a large pointy witch hat and flowing dress holding a silvery staff.

"M-mom?" Ichigo stuttered in surprise.

Masaki simply smiled.

Reina seemed to disappear from the roof and suddenly reappeared in between the Bount and Ichigo's group less than a fraction of a second later.

Ishida looked surprised. "Was that Hirenkyaku?" He asked.

Reina smirked and looked over at the two Bount. "You two brats have been acting quite arrogant..." She said.

That seemed to get on their nerves. Given that they were bount despite looking like brats they were probably over a hundred years old.

"B-brats?!" One of them said.

They ordered the dolls to attack.

Reina stretched her staff towards the fused attacking dolls. "Frost," she said.

Suddenly a cold wave was sent out from the head of her staff. As it travelled forward everything it touched rapidly froze including  the massive fused doll and all the water they were using.

The two Bount glared at Reina. "No way! Guhl! Günther!" they yelled.

Before they could even free their dolls two consecutive energy arrows pierced the brows of the Bount.

When they followed the trajectory of the arrows they found Masaki still standing on the roof with the energy bow extending from her wrist drawn.

The Bount's bodies hadn't even fallen yet when they rapidly aged, desiccated and turned to dust leaving only their clothing.

Inoue screamed.

"Wh-What's this?!" Chad asked.

"What's going on?!" Ichigo asked.

"They've turned to dust!" Renji said.

"Even though they looked like children, they were probably past their limits as living beings," Rukia said.

Masaki used Hirenkyaku to appear beside Reina. "Nice job," she said.

"Mom, wasn't that a little..." Ichigo tried to say.

Masaki shook her head. "You still have to grow up Ichigo-kun," she said.

=Karakura Town, Urahara Store, August 24th Afternoon=

Since they had blown up the entire hospital floor Ishida was staying in they brought him to the Urahara Store to allow him to recover in safety.

Ririn, Kurōdo, and Nobu had already switched back from their plush animal bodies to their human-like Gigai.

Everyone was just lazing about when Ririn, Kurōdo, and Nobu suddenly froze.

"They're here!" Ririn yelled.

Ichigo jumped up. "Where?!" He asked.

The three Mod Souls seemed to be thinking for a moment. "They seem to have us surrounded," Kurōdo said.

Reina activated her bracelet transforming it into her staff and summoning her witch hat and dress.

Masaki transformed into her Nichtig form.

Chad transformed his right arm into its black and red form.

Rukia slaps Kon using a red fingerless glove causing his pill-like true body to pop out of the stuffed lion's mouth and stuffed it into Ichigo's mouth to separate his Soul from his body.

Renji separated from his Gigai using a Soul Candy.

"Kon, take Renji's Gigai and hide in the basement with Ishida!" Ichigo shouted.

Kon in Ichigo's body dragged Renji's Gigai and jumped down the hole into the basement.

Reina ran out of the store with everyone to find a group of six men and a woman surrounding the store. Most of them were smirking maliciously.

"They're all Bount," Ririn said.

Ichigo, Chad, and Renji jumped in front of everyone. 

Meanwhile Rukia, Tessai, Ururu and Jinta stuck back to protect Inoue.

Reina and Masaki stuck together, most used to fighting together.

Urahara seemed to have mysteriously gone missing.

The young looking white haired male Bount stepped forward. "Hello, I'm Kariya Jin. Why don't you hand over the Quincy? We aren't looking for anything else," He said.

The middle-aged Bount with parted brown hair frowned. "Kariya, why are we wasting our time like this?" He asked.

Jin shook his head. "Why fight if we don't have to Ryō?" He asked.

Ryō's frown deepened.

"We won't be letting you take Ishida-kun," Ichigo said firmly.

Jin sighed. "Such a shame. In that case we'll just have to take him," he said.

The Bount summoned their dolls.
