Ten Years of Yearning. My Love, Let Me Protect You.

After remaining in each other's embrace for a while, Sheng Ruming broke it first. He asked her gently, "Let's go to the villa. it's cold outside."

"No, let's stay here for a while. I don't want to sleep now." she said as she turned towards the stream.

"OK."  He said as he unbuttoned his overcoat and gently put it on her. It was steeped with his masculine smell but also filled with his body warmth. She felt very comfortable with it.

Luo Lixi held out her left hand as she asked, "Want to walk for a while?"

He paused for a second as a small smile broke out in his face. "Sure." He replied as he took her cold hand and started to walk side by side. 

On the way, they didn't say a single word but enjoyed the presence of each other's company. They didn't let go of each other as they enjoyed the sky full of stars and the peaceful night.

They walked for nearly thirty minutes when Luo Lixi felt a little exhausted. Sheng Ruming noticed her walking pace slowed down quite a bit. He stopped walking as he said "Shall we return now?"

"No. After some time. If you want, you can go. I can walk alone." She said as she started to walk faster. Soon she left him behind.

'This girl...' Sheng Ruming smiled as he walked to the front and took her in his embrace. He lifted her as he carried her like princess style. He walked towards the villa as Luo Lixi looked at him in shock. 

"What are you doing? Put me down, I can walk by myself." she told him in a flustered voice but he didn't reply and carried her away. She was very soft and light to carry as he was walking very fast. Luo Lixi was afraid he would fall in the road as the way he was walking thus she gripped his neck tightly. 

'Hmm... she is very thin. I've to instruct the kitchen to make high-calorie food for her. The more she gains weight the better.' He thought as he looked at the woman in his arms gently.

"You..." Luo Lixi was glaring at him when he looked down. When he reached the villa door, she saw the two men from earlier. They were standing at the door. She instantly turned her face and hid it in his chest in utter shame.

Upon entering the villa, he placed her on a sofa gently. Luo Lixi became embarrassed as the two bodyguards saw her being carried by him. She grimaced at him in grief.

"You... are too much." She chided slightly as she looked at Sheng Ruming. 

chuckling at her cute response he patted her head softly. He went to the open kitchen and filled a glass with hot water. He handed it to her carefully. She took it from him and rubbed it with both of her hands so that they weren't cold anymore.

Afterwards, his sight went to the table. He took the box from the round table and went to find a clean plate. He placed the sweets on it and put it in the electric oven.

Luo Lixi was looking at him doing the work as she asked, "What are you doing there?" She asked as she was sipping her hot water.

"Nothing. Wait a minute." He said as he waited for the food to heat up. 

After ten minutes, he switched off the oven and took out the sweets. He placed them in another plate and brought it to her as he sat down beside her.

"Open your lips." The man said as he held a piece from the plate and brought it to her mouth. 

When Luo Lixi looked at the plate she saw those were her favourite sweets. She slightly opened her mouth and bit down on the sweet gently. She wanted to eat by herself but when she remembered her right hand was injured, she gave up. She didn't want to use her left hand for it as it was very difficult. Thus she allowed him to feed her.

 When she opened her mouth, her light pink tongue could be seen from his side. When he saw the beautiful thing between her tender lips, he had the sudden urge to kiss her senseless again but forced himself from doing it. She was smiling as she was enjoying the sweets and he didn't want to interrupt her happy moment. He held the piece as she ate it slowly. She finished it in two minutes.

"Is it tasty?" he asked her as he took another one from the plate for her.

"Mmm...where did you buy these from?" she asked as she started to eat the second one. She looked very cute when she was eating; looking like a cute hamster. 

"Ji Yanli gave me these. If you like it, I'll tell the chef to make some more for you." Luo Lixi stopped for a second when she heard the name.

"Who is she?"She asked casually.

"My secretary as well as my high school friend." Her smile became stiff when she heard it. He didn't notice her reaction as he continued,  "She makes these often and brings them to the office for the staff. If you like the taste of these sweets particularly, I can ask her to make some more for you." He said nonchalantly as he finished feeding her the third one.

"No need. I just asked curiously." She smiled slightly as she stopped eating. Afterwards, she took her glass of water and drank the water slowly. By then it became slightly cold.

"Did you have dinner?" he asked as he went to the table and brought a tissue to wipe her mouth. She snatched it from him and whipped her lips hurriedly. 

"No, I wasn't hungry." she answered him as she was putting off the coat from her body. She was feeling hot right now as she was inside the villa. 

Sheng Ruming went to the kitchen and kept the remaining sweets in the fridge while putting down the plate at aside. He poured the hot water in the glass from which Luo Lixi drank water earlier for himself and drank from it. 

Luo Lixi peeked at his actions and became embarrassed when she saw him drinking water from the same glass. Her slightly red face became scarlet in a single minute.

When he returned to her side, he saw his coat was laying on the seat beside her. He went to her and felt her hand as he rubbed it. He looked at her red face as she was zoning out. He asked mischievously, "Feeling hot?"

"Hmm..." She replied as she didn't give it much thought.
