Chapter 62: Disastrous! II
Ridiculous.
That was the only word that could describe what happened next!
In the distant skies, where a blue star was already radiating its grace downwards, a crimson star also bloomed.
The second Gem Constellation.
The Light of the Void!
[Under the light of the Void, all active Gem Recipes are granted certain effects.]
[The Wings of Crimson Light are applied to the holder of the Gem Recipes and any applicable life forms connected to him through the Gem Recipes. The Wings of Crimson Light grants the inherent ability of Nature Defiance- allowing for the absolute rejection of gravity and other forces that dictate movement across different states of matter.
All usage of the Wings of Crimson Light is entirely passive and requires no input from Energeia. No matter the mass or amount of Energeia of the one the Wings of Crimson Light are attached to, their speed can achieve the equivalent of a Millionth the Speed of Light.]
…!
This.
This!
The moment these words echoed out in Alexander's mind, this was where everything began going utterly nuts.
On his back and on the backs of all of those connected to him through the Minion King Gem Recipe, crimson light flashed.
Gorgeous wings that seemed to be born from pure crimson lightning- their brilliance painting their surroundings with a hint of red and they brimmed with silent power.
Chapter Read:
The moment they appeared around Alexander, he felt as if countless chains and limitations that were always weighing him down disappeared.
What the Wings of Crimson Light granted was not just the ability to fly.
No.
Goodness no!
They horrifically held something termed Nature Defiance where there was an absolute rejection of gravity among any other forces!
No gravity.
No wind resistance.
Nothing.
So when Alexander merely had a thought…
SAA!
His figure flickered as he rose up from the feathers of Nueire who also had this pair of crimson wings now sprouting on her back.
He rose up…and stayed up as if he were floating!
But he wasn't truly floating.
His body turned sideways in the cold skies until his eyes were gazing at the blue skies above directly.
He could be considered a horizontal line between the earth below and the skies above, but he felt nothing weighing down on him.
As if his back was lying on something- he could never fall!
He could even fall asleep in this current position in the skies, and he would remain so until his thoughts decided differently.
"...crazy."
He couldn't help but shake his head.
This was an effect of a Gem Constellation? This was simply nuts!
But it wasn't done.
[Everything supported with the Wings of Crimson Light shall have the support of extremely charged red lightning, giving their attacks the speed equivalent to a Millionth the Speed of Light.]
"..."
That was it.
The first Gem Constellation, the Endless Glacial Dream, had the Glacial Armor of the Deep, Rage of the Ice King, and Physical and Elemental Damage reductions among its boons.
The Second Gem Constellation gave the Wings of Crimson Light and a single other boon as this alone…seemed extremely overwhelming!
Capable of movement at a rate of one millionth the speed of light.
How was this?
And in addition to movements, one's attacks would also be charged with red lightning to achieve the same speed!
This was exactly what began an utterly disastrous battle.
Alexander remained 'floating' horizontally as he saw the scene above with clarity.
Azazel had the same Wings of Crimson Light flourishing behind him along with Claire.
Alexander's thoughts already traveled towards Azazel and all others to let them know of the terrifying capabilities of the Wings, but they themselves could sense it as if they had obtained another limb!
Their eyes expressed their shock and horror.
Azazel expressed his incredulity as his massive body was being held up in the skies effortlessly.
The bloody flames below his feet disappeared as he didn't need them any longer.
He stared towards the angered figure of the Beast Lord whose hands were raised, the skies above her turning a translucent color as the air began to take on the hue of glass.
Undoubtedly, a terrifying attack was coming.
But…
"So what?"
Azazel's deep voice was gruff as rapidly, another bloody spear appeared in his hands.
But this spear crackled with tendrils of crimson lightning as with a flick.
A single flick!
SAA!
The bloody spear disappeared.
The gaze of the Beast Lord Vishpala above changed greatly as her senses danced dangerously.
But before she could even teleport away…
BOOM!
A thick bloody spear smashed directly on her chest!
CRACK!
On her chest, a thin invisible film of light was smashed into with such speed that it nearly shattered, and her figure was flung up high in the skies!
…!
The scene caused the retreating Tier 6 Beasts delving into their armies to stare with their mouths agape while the roaring army of a few hundred thousand beasts no longer made a great deal of noise.
It was the start of a disaster.
Elven Beast Commander Lidar, who came to avenge Elder Dadarius, gazed out with horror as even though he was tracking the smashed figure of the Beast Lord whose protection was nearly broken, he saw the skies be covered in the next instant.
The massive body of a Golden Flame Lion appeared as it was suspended in the skies effortlessly.
As if its body weighed absolutely nothing.
Radiant Crimson wings cackling with lightning blazed on its back as in the next moment, it opened its jaws.
And Golden flames filled with tendrils of red lightning streaked out, Lidar's expression changing as before his facial muscles could even fully develop the frowns and anger- before he could even blink…the flames had somehow already appeared around him as they raged down on him and the section of the army he just reached!
…!
Shocking scenes like these began to bloom.
Alexander remained suspended in the skies and smiled as his calculations paid off.
"It seems that Gem Constellations were the way to go…"
A bright smile.
A smile because by his calculations, his current power that was already going towards shocking levels would likely rise even more.
What he wanted to achieve…was more than possible!
