Chapter 80: I’m Not Kidding
Chapter 80
The car sped through the night rain.
Half an hour later, the car entered a manor.
Ling Yue opened her eyes and scanned the manor outside the car, letting out a low chuckle. It seemed that tonight would not be a peaceful one.
"We're here."
"Get out of the car."
The car door was forcefully pulled open. Perhaps on their own turf, the four men felt emboldened.
Here, there were thousands of men, all armed with weapons. Even if she was capable, could she really wipe out a thousand men?
Ling Yue stepped out of the car, the raindrops falling on her hair, clothes, quickly drenching her entire body. Yet she seemed unfazed, walking step by step towards the manor, like a supreme ruler surveying her domain.
One of the four men had already run inside, reporting to their leader that Ling Yue had been brought in.
"Boss! We've brought the woman."
The boss was embracing a beauty and drinking wine. Upon hearing his subordinate's report, he drained the cup, "Bring her in."
As Ling Yue entered, she saw a bearded man embracing a woman, forcefully pouring the wine from his cup into her mouth. Although the woman looked pained, he seemed oblivious, only stopping when he had poured the entire cup down her throat.
"Cough cough cough..." The woman coughed miserably.
The man tossed the cup aside, pushing the woman away with disgust. His gaze fell upon Ling Yue's face, "Remove her mask." Having seen countless women, he could tell from her phoenix-like eyes that she must be a great beauty.
Ling Yue let out a cold laugh, "You can look, but the price is quite steep. Are you sure you want to see?"
"Oh? What price?" The man smiled nonchalantly. Here, he was the king, his word was law. Not only could he demand to see her face, he could even have her strip naked with just a word.
"Your life," Ling Yue's voice was devoid of warmth.
"Hahaha..." The man burst into laughter, "Wanting my life, that's the biggest joke I've ever heard. Do you have what it takes? Don't forget, this is my territory. With just a word from me, you'll be beaten to a pulp."
Ling Yue sat down at an empty spot, "You can try."
Her arrogant attitude irked the man as he suppressed his laughter, his face darkening, "Do you think I'm joking with you?"
Ling Yue met his gaze, her eyes reflecting disdain and cold-bloodedness, "I don't like jokes."
"It seems you won't cry until you see the coffin. Fine, I'll oblige you." The man drew a gun from his waist and aimed it at Ling Yue's forehead. He didn't believe she wasn't afraid.
Ling Yue's expression didn't change at all.
The man heard a crisp "click" and felt a piercing pain in his hand. His hand had somehow been severed. How was this possible?
Now, his eyes on Ling Yue had changed, "Just who are you?"
"You don't have the right to know." With a wave of Ling Yue's hand, the once bright hall was plunged into darkness as countless vengeful spirits surged towards the man.
The woman beside the man was so frightened that she fainted.
The man's face drained of color as he tried to escape and call for help, but found himself unable to move, forced to watch as the vengeful spirits tore and gnawed at his flesh.
The indescribable agony spread through his body, clear and vivid, worse than death itself.
Ling Yue calmly averted her gaze and stepped out of the hall, releasing a powerful aura that caused the rushing subordinates to feel as if a mountain was pressing down on them, unable to breathe.
Blood slowly seeped from their eyes, noses, mouths, and ears, quickly filling the surroundings with a bloody stench, like a hellish purgatory.
Ling Yue dissipated her terrifying aura, plundered all of the man's wealth, and silently disappeared into the rainy night.
The two men locked in the man's secret room felt a chill and slowly opened their eyes to find the ropes binding them loosened, and the guards at the door gone.
The two men exchanged a puzzled glance and cautiously made their way out.
Seeing the corpse-strewn scene outside, they were stunned. Even after experiencing countless bloody battles, they had never witnessed such a sight.
A tall figure approached from the rainy night, yet not a single drop of water from the puddles splashed onto his pants.
Detecting an overwhelming scent of blood, Qin Lie frowned slightly and vanished from his spot. His mission this time was to rescue the two anti-drug officers who had been captured. They had infiltrated the drug cartel's organization but were unfortunately discovered.
Upon entering the manor and seeing the scene before him, Qin Lie was also momentarily stunned. Extending his consciousness outward, he sensed that apart from two staggering figures approaching, there were no living souls. The most gruesome sight was in the main hall, where the man's flesh had been devoured by vengeful spirits, leaving only bare bones.
