Chapter 56: Unexpected Situation (3/3), Tumor Brewing
At the moment, three men and a woman floated 20 meters away diagonally from the Yueha's domain sphere, surrounding it with four fancy magic circles established above their heads.
The brown-haired woman adorning a black dress with a staff in her left hand and rapier in her right hand was strongest, being an Exceed-rank powerhouse of high-stage with her foundational stats being above 90k and her Domain awakened-her name, Bergetta Rose.
Aside from her, the gray-haired middle-aged man wearing a long hat and a wand in his hand was also in Exceed rank with Domain awakened, though he was in the median-stage of Exceed rank with his foundational stats around 65k-70k-name, Jakar the Wand Herald.
Meanwhile, the other men wearing black-red and blue-black suits were members of the Aurspec clan. One Low-stage Exceed and another Median-stage Exceed, but none of them had their Domains awakened yet.
Aside from these four Exceed-rank powerhouses, many Legendary-rank powerhouses in their complete gear set and weapons were ready, floating 50 meters away in the surroundings.
But one more person looking in his fifties soon arrived, floating just 10 meters away from Yueha's domain sphere. He was slim with a long dim golden beard, shoulder-length hair, and a sharp expression. His eyes glinted with magic as he looked at the domain sphere.
'A Primeval-rank powerhouse?' Melkern frowned.
"Clan head, Luthen is inside," one of the men in suits said.
"And Mr. Lempart's son too," the other man in suit added.
"Any idea what is happening, Mr. Melkern?" the woman asked.
Melkern shook his head as a pulse of power also whirled around him, "Prepare to attack. My son is inside, and I formally ask your assistance."
The browned-haired beautiful woman and the gray-haired middle-aged man nodded. They were leaders of the other two forces situated in the city.
Although the Aurspec clan was the strongest and considered the leader of this city, The House of Dark Rose headed by Bergetta Rose and Sorcerer's Abode helmed by Jakar the Wand Hereald were two organizations that were active in large areas with their bases in this big city. Nailzim was sort of like an international city with connections and a trade center for all the big shots and forces in the Lightdusk continent. There were six such cities on this continent, with this one being one of them.
There could be some hidden powerhouses present in the city as well, with no intention to reveal themselves and just enjoy their time in this lively city, though this current situation was too juicy for them not to pay any attention.
"After me," Melkern Aurspec said before he raised his hand and conjured a dark gold lightning bolt in his grasp, a plain necklace with a small fancy dual-colored gold-black crystal around his neck also shone as if he activated it.
However, the domain sphere suddenly turned faint and gradually vanished, revealing all the people inside.
Melkern paused and dispelled his attack, his pupil shrinking as he saw Luthen imprisoned while having a painful and screaming expression.
"This..."
"What?!"
Only a few gasps echoed before the surroundings turned silent and everyone looked at Melkern.
Aleron looked at the people surrounding them before his gaze stopped at Melkern Aurspec who felt like the leading figure here -An early-stage Primeval rank powerhouse.
"Who are you?" Melkern held himself back and asked while suppressing his anger and impulse. His gaze was on Yueha who gave him a feeling of death.
However, Yueha merely walked before Aleron and knelt on one knee before saying, her voice crisp and clear into everyone's ears, "Master, should I dispose of everyone in the surroundings?"
Everyone's face was covered with sweat hearing Yueha's words while feeling a biting chill crawling around them.
Aleron had also finished using his talent and saw the marks on everyone. He was surprised that this Melkern Aurspec had a yellow mark.
Aside from him, only the woman had a yellow mark. The other three Exceed-ranks had red marks, with the middle-aged man having a black mark.
"This city has a tumor, Mr. Melker," Aleron said as he floated face-to-face with Melker 10 meters across him.
Yueha also floated beside him, but one step behind him, indicating that she was on the head and wouldn't partake in the conversation.
"Can you release those two before we proceed further?" Melkern asked, his expression grim.
"No," Aleron flatly rejected, his eyes turning distant, "You may not be a good man, but you are not evil in my eyes. However, the same can't be said for your son."
"What do you mean?" Melkern frowned as his eyes went to his son briefly before moving to Aleron. He clenched his fist but kept his patience because fighting would result in greater
tragedy.
Aleron opened his palm before Melkern, oozing out a strange white-blue round wisp that was slick in shape.
'Soul?' Melkern's eyes flickered with shock. 'But his physical aura is just early-stage Legendary rank...'
"This is a memory packet. I know you don't check your sons' memories, but I took the liberty after detecting filth in him," Aleron waved his hand gently as the wisp flew towards Melkern.
"Check it."
Melkern clenched his teeth.
"Yue, disable that the gray-beard."
Yueha's dark icy blue eyes pierced into the Leader of Sorcerer's Abode.
Jakar felt death infinitely close as he opened his mouth to speak, but instead of words, a scream rang out as everyone saw a faint icy spark flashing before they saw a shocking thing. Jakar the Wand Herald, a famous powerhouse of Exceed-rank with his famous Sorcery Domain, was frozen from head to toe completely.
Melkern's eyes shook. 'What was that? I didn't even sense a trace of magic and how she made
the move.'
'Is she that powerful?!'
If Melker felt like this, the other three Exceed-rank powerhouses felt as if doom stood before
him.
They didn't even try to escape because it was futile against this powerful Primeval-rank powerhouse.
"He is like your son, hence this result," Aleron indifferently said before turning to the woman and two men in suits, "Don't worry, I am not planning to do anything to you." Bergetta Rose put away her staff and rapier before saying politely, "I have no intention to fight and I would like to know more about this situation you've mentioned. What is the tumor
in this city?"
Aleron sent a memory packet to Bergetta Rose and the other two Exceed-rank in suits.
Melkern looked at the memory packet floating in front of him and then looked at his son
before gritting his teeth and taking it.
Soon, the memories of his son and Vizen's life flooded his mind.
Bergetta Rose and the two men of the Aurspec clan also saw the same things.
After five seconds, Melker opened his bloodshot eyes filled with shock and pain.
"What?!" Bergetta Rose exclaimed loudly, visibly trembling. 'A greater demon is in contact with Reikern and they are sacrificing people...t-this.'
"Clan head..." James Aurspec called out with a clenched fist as he was appalled at the actions of the clan head both sons and other people involved with the demons.
"Clan head, this is wrong," Lake Aurspec hissed with anger. "We have to capture Reikern as
fast as possible."
Melkern took a deep breath and looked at Aleron, "If this situation is true and you are willing
to help, I would like you to come to Aurspec clan for further discussion. The public will worry
if this continues."
"Let's go," Aleron nodded. Of course, Aleron had already started making his move via Hua Yunlong, Mei Xianging, and Fang Tinguan.
...
Goddess Palace...
A handsome black-haired man wearing white shorts and an open blue shirt came to visit the
Goddess Elysia.
"Hey, Elysia, how's your progress going in this world?"
Elysia rolled her eyes as she sent the servants who were massaging her away. "I only have Lightdusk continent under me at the moment. I am trying to slowly make demons infiltrate and start the war that I've prophesied to them."
"It's going slowly. Anyway, what about you, Davin?" Elysia asked.
Davin leisurely leaned back on the chair and chuckled, "I've conquered half of the planet under one force. The others are resisting, but they will be absorbed soon."
"The Race will start soon, so you better hurry, Elysia," Davin grinned at her and looked at her figure, "Otherwise, just become my wife and we can go from being rivals and future enemies
into close allies."
"No thanks. I'll handle this on my own," Elysia rolled her eyes. "I've already sprouted seeds
of chaos in the Northern Star continent. It's just a matter of time before they are forced into an
all-out war."
"Eventually, everything will come under me and I'll join the race."
Davin laughed and said, "Eventually? Haha. You've slacked enough, so do it fast or lose it all."
"Good luck."
